Throughout the years, Johnny Depp has portrayed the role of Captain Jack Sparrow with unrivaled charisma, which has made him synonymous with the role. Depp’s whimsical approach to the portrayal of the iconic character has made him the face of the franchise itself. The titular character has become a part of his identity, as Captain Jack Sparrow has immensely influenced pop culture, leading to the commercial success of each film.

Despite the film series being so popular and doing extremely well at the box office, one film was extremely hated by the fans of the series. The film is none other than Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which was disliked by many viewers because of its different approach. However, Johnny Depp had immense faith in the film which ultimately ruled the box office.

Embarking on a journey back to a pivotal moment in TV history, it’s hard to believe that over two decades have passed since Band of Brothers deeply engraved its narrative in the heart of popular culture. When it debuted back in 2001, the war drama miniseries—created by Steven Spielberg & Tom Hanks—became a tremendous commercial and critical hit.
The gripping story of the ‘Easy’ Company’s World War II involvement cemented HBO’s standing as a major force in television. Even though the show debuted more than 20 years ago, viewers still find it compelling. Why?
Tom Hanks’ Band of Brothers | HBO Entertainment
In a 2021 interview with Deadline, Hanks spoke about why, even after several years, the Emmy-winning series keeps enticing viewers. As he revealed, there was a time when the series seemed destined to be shrouded in uncertainty, its future hanging by a thread after a real-life tragedy (9/11 terrorist attacks) shook the world.

Revenge Of The Sith marks a pivotal moment in the Star Wars universe, particularly the Skywalker Saga as it cements Anakin Skywalker’s turn to the Dark Side. The film features several brutal moments, which slowly build up to Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader after he succumbs to the Dark Side.
Count Dooku’s death is one of the most brutal moments in Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith (Image Credit: Lucasfilm).
However, one brutal moment from the film, namely the death of Count Dooku at the hands of Anakin wasn’t exactly scripted as it appears in the final film. Instead, the scene was changed during the conceptualization of the duel’s stunt choreography and added Count Dooku’s brutal fate. Given the complex emotions the scene was trying to convey, actor Christopher Lee brilliantly portrayed Count Dooku’s death despite the scene being changed on the fly.

After the Hays Code was finally dropped in the late ’60s, it allowed filmmakers to make films without any restrictions, which led to the rise of some of the greatest names in filmmaking. This included acclaimed filmmaker George Lucas, who rose to prominence following the success of American Graffiti, starring Harrison Ford, which hit the shelves in ’73.
But it was his next collaboration with Ford that would go on to change Hollywood forever, kickstarting one of the most iconic movie franchises of all time. However, making Star Wars: A New Hope was pretty taxing for the filmmaker, as the sci-fi juggernaut almost fumbled after Lucas underwent some medical issues.

Han Solo as a character looks like he was built to deliver one-liners. Harrison Ford brought the character to life with his signature charm, which didn’t miss a beat when he returned to play the character in The Force Awakens. The actor’s handling of the role, along with lines that he improvised, has not only become important for Star Wars history but have become important moments in cinema history too.

The stakes are always high in the alien-infested universe of Helldivers 2. As a cooperative, high-octane shooter, the game thrives on its ability to keep players on their toes with intense, fast-paced action. The thrill of battling alien hordes alongside teammates makes for an exhilarating gaming experience.
However, Helldivers 2 has faced criticism from players regarding various issues, such as Psn account problems and numerous glitches. One particular point of contention has been the so-called “dead bug” which can unexpectedly kill players. While these concerns are understandable, some of the complaints stem from misunderstandings. What many players perceive as bugs are actually intentional game mechanics designed to add challenge and realism to the game.

Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 is officially out. The movie he’d risked so much for, his dream project that the actor was cooking for many years, trying to get the funding for it… In the end, Costner took a massive gamble and poured tens of millions of his own money into making Horizon — but we severely underestimated just how much money it was.
Kevin Costner Spent a Fortune on Horizon
There are two major ways in which Costner took immense risks to make Horizon come true. The first one is, of course, his career: the Western star lost his lead part in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone to work on Horizon and likely rejected some other offers to make time for his own project. But that’s not even the main thing.
For many years, Costner was failing to find production companies willing to fund Horizon.

Taylor Sheridan is an incredible actor, producer, director, and writer. But before he was singlehandedly running one of the best series of all time, the Hollywood star was just an actor struggling to make ends meet. In 2008, Sheridan was roped in to play Deputy Chief David Hale in the Charlie Hunnam-starrer Sons of Anarchy.

However, the Yellowstone showrunner’s character was brutally killed off in season 3 after Sheridan did not agree to the wage rate he was being paid. And then apparently to take revenge, Sheridan took to his critically acclaimed series to take a digg at the FX series.

Scale, sweep, or schadenfreude; whatever you might be seeking in the films of Kevin Costner, you tend to walk away with the vistas. Think of the golden plains and stampeding buffalo of his directorial debut Dances with Wolves; or the jaw-dropping aerial shot of scavengers circling the atoll in Waterworld; and lest we forget The Postman, a work even the most harebrained viewers haven’t found the energy to reappraise, which still left you with an image of The Sound of Music projected onto a quarry wall, not to mention that statue of himself constructed for the film’s whacky finale. For better or worse, they aren’t easily forgotten.

Godzilla is one of modern pop culture’s most recognizable monsters, being the trope codified for an entire genre of films. Antony Starr is perhaps the face of morally complex characters in today’s day and age. From The Boys to Banshee, complexity is something he carries in front of the camera like no one else. The darkness within a character takes a great amount of skill to exude and that is something the actor excels at. The patience and dedication it takes is what fans appreciate wholeheartedly.

While Starr isn’t typecasted in the role of a character battling his inner self through the darkness within him, there is no doubt that he plays the part perfectly. He may not be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Universe yet but he has shown through Homelander that a role in the franchises wouldn’t be an opportunity anyone would regret. As such, the possibility may be nigh.

Author George R.R. Martin created the global phenomenon Game of Thrones when he wrote the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire. Set in a medieval fantasy realm where Seven Kingdoms fight to be the ruler of the lands, the novel series spawned the popular HBO show which won multiple Emmys and was one of the most-watched series.
After the show ended with season 8, which was largely considered to be disappointing, HBO commissioned multiple prequels, of which only House of the Dragon has seen the light of day. However, among the multiple prequels in development is Aegon’s Conquest, which sees the origins of the Seven Kingdoms. Writer Mattson Tomlin mentioned that Martin instructed him to avoid one mistake from Game of Thrones creators.

Every teenage girl looks forward to their sixteenth birthday, but in Pretty Little Liars: Summer School Season 1 Episode 3, it's less of a rite of passage and more of a matter of life or death.
While this season of Pretty Little Liars: Summer School has definitely kicked things up a notch, the series isn't skimping on the teen angst and what it means to be a girl in high school, even if it's just summer school.
At least the one good thing they have working in their favor is that they seem to rarely be entirely by themselves. It's a horror trope that, thankfully, has been axed since the previous season.
As the show becomes fully immersed in summer, the story shifts focus from violent slayings to real teenage problems, like cute boys. If only someone had told them that the problem never truly goes away.

The latest addition to Haruichi Furudate’s magnum opus, Haikyu!! Despite being seen as a step down compared to the original trilogy, George Lucas’ prequel trilogy did add something new to the galaxy far, far away, which can’t be said for the sequels. While it was 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker that put the final nail in the coffin for the sequel trilogy, which pushed Disney to stray away from the big screen releases, the initial entry too failed to win over Lucas.
Lucas criticized the films for their lack of originality, and fans couldn’t agree more with that sentiment, especially in the case of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The Fire Country series gives fans a unique twist on an oversaturated niche in the TV industry.
It's not the first show to focus on fire-related storylines or feature a main character who's been on the wrong side of the law.
But Fire Country might be the first show in which we actually like our bad-boy inmates enough to want to see them free from prison confinement.
Fans fell in love with Bode Leone (formerly Donovan) in Fire Country Season 1 as he transitioned from a prison inmate to a heroic (despite for selfish reasons) inmate firefighter.
Throughout the first season, Bode -- played by the talented and sexy Max Thieriot -- hooked viewers with his unusual blend of self-righteous bravery and a higher moral code.
Yeah, kinda unusual for someone who's been in prison.
But Bode's hero complex isn't surprising, given his history.
Firefighting seems to be a family trade.

From the dark and immersive atmosphere to the challenging gameplay, Hidetaka Miyazaki gave gaming fans something to rely on. And the fact that they are still playing even after a decade of its launch is a testament to how beloved Dark Souls have become. Not just that, the series success led to the creation of a subgenre called Soulslike.
The Souls series brought the trilogy to its conclusion in 2016, but Soulslike games lived, many of which are slated to be released in the coming years. This includes video games like Black Myth: Wukong, Enotria: The Last Song, Another Crab’s Treasure, and more. Although they aren’t exactly part of the subgenre, they have elements embedded in the gameplay.

Cooper Howard’s backstory is a red line that goes through the entirety of Fallout Season 1, and things we learn about his past explain a lot about him and the world in the present. But they also create what seems like plot holes or, at least, logical inconsistencies, and that’s especially easy to notice with the power armor subplot.
The Ghoul Knew About Power Armors’ Flaws
Over two centuries before the events of Prime Video’s Fallout, Cooper Howard confronted Bud about his former company’s power armors. We learn that Coop was a soldier back in the day, and a catastrophic design flaw in pre-war power armors led many of his fellow troops to die despite seemingly being protected by mech suits.
Fast forward to the Battle of Griffith Observatory. The Ghoul brings up the design flaw and lazily wonders whether it’s still present in post-war...

Helldivers 2 is no stranger to making plenty of jokes on social media with their fans. Yesterday showed that there is still plenty of jokes and banter to be had amongst the players after a post made to the social media site X that resulted in a very funny response from fans about a potential new feature.
The post has some fans excited; however, it looks unlikely that the idea will ever come to pass, and fans may just be displaying too much in the way of wishful thinking about the new concept. Whether it happens or not, this shows that the CEO, Johan Pilestedt, can still connect with the fans in a light-hearted manner and make the community feel more involved with the game as it progresses.
The CEO isn’t Afraid to Join the Banter Even the CEO of Arrowhead Games isn’t scared to join in on the jokes.

The Fall Guy writer Drew Pearce has addressed the controversy surrounding the joke about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in the action comedy film. Released earlier this month, the film has been receiving backlash for featuring a joke referring to the alleged alterations between the ex-couple, highlighted during the 2022 civil defamation trial.

However, despite the criticism surrounding the joke, Pearce has argued that the dialogue underscores Hannah Waddingham’s character, Gail, in the story, claiming that she is meant to say such things as she is depicted as anything but a decent human being.

In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, The Fall Guy writer Drew Pearce argued against the backlash surrounding the distasteful joke, while referring to the context of who is saying the joke in the movie.

Prime Video’s Fallout TV show was extremely divisive up until the day it premiered — because since then, everyone has been absolutely in love with it, including the most staunch critics. Jonathan Nolan and his team did the near-impossible, adapting a video game in a way that left both new fans and Og gamers extremely happy with the end result and instantly craving for more, The Last of Us-style.
But Fallout went further — and started smashing records, too.

The league has a Christmas Day doubleheader up for grabs this year, and opened bidding at the end of March.
Netflix is reportedly finally ready to take the plunge. The world’s largest streaming service has always seemed like a logical partner for the most popular sports league in the United States, but its stance against paying excessive sums of money to win live sports rights made it seem unlikely that it would ever actively pursue broadcasts of NFL games. However, a new report from Puck News indicates that Netflix has entered the chat regarding the NFL’s Christmas Day doubleheader for this coming season, and that it could potentially secure the rights to Christmas games for multiple years to come.

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered if any film could capture the awe-inspiring vastness of the cosmos? Many directors have soared through the stars in science fiction, but one visionary’s belief is as enduring as the galaxy itself. George Lucas, the renowned creator of the epic Star Wars, has a deep appreciation for a cinematic masterpiece that even his own galactic saga cannot match: Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.
George Lucas [Photo: Joey Gannon/Wikimedia Commons]Lucas made cinematic history in 1977 with Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, an instant classic that catapulted science fiction to the forefront of popular culture. Despite his phenomenal success, he remains convinced that Kubrick’s 1968 magnum opus is an unmatched masterpiece, a celestial pinnacle that no filmmaker in the near future can hope to surpass.

The One Piece treasure and other mysteries that have been kept secret in the story are only known to Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the series, and its editors. Over the course of almost 30 years, One Piece has had twelve editors, and all of them probably know what the treasure is.
One Piece
This was confirmed by Suguru Sugita, who worked on One Piece from 2014 to 2017. He was once interviewed by a Japanese radio show called Gold Rush, where he admitted to the fact that, besides Oda, the people who know about the secrets of One Piece are the editors of the series. Besides them, Oda has not trusted anyone else with this secret.
When Sugita was the editor of One Piece, the series was going through one of the most important parts of the narrative, featuring the Dressrosa arc, the Zou arc, and the Whole Cake Island arc. Sugita...

Things are looking a lot less pretty and a little more dangerous for the liars in the season premiere of Pretty Little Liars: Summer School.
Picking up right where things left off, Pretty Little Liars: Summer School Season 1 Episode 1 starts with four murders within the first five minutes.
Aptly titled "Loose Ends," that's exactly what's taken care of. If the trend continues like a Scream movie, audiences may see each new season commence with a kill scene.
Sheriff Beasley, Chip, Madame Giry, Steve, and the drug dealer to Noa's mom all met a grizzly end right at the start, wiping the slate clean for a new killer to cut some fresh flesh.
On top of everything the girls went through, now they have to spend their summer attending school or otherwise face repeating the 10th grade. A fate worse than death.

There exists in abundance, several pieces of fictional works set in fantasy lands and places, consisting of unrealistic characters with unimaginable powers and abilities. Of these, George R. R. Strikes and delays have reportedly seen the budget on Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski’s Formula 1 movie race past the $300m mark.
If a new report’s accurate, then Apple Studios is in the process of spending a quite sinister amount of money on its forthcoming Formula 1 movie.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt, the film doesn’t currently have an official title – the word was that it was called Apex, also the name of a 2021 Bruce Willis action flick, though that hasn’t been confirmed so far.
What it does have, though, is an absolutely enormous budget; according to Puck, as picked up by World of Reel, the spend so far has breached the $300m mark.

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Fallout Season 1.
In the finale of Fallout Season 1, Hank MacLean takes off to New Vegas with Lucy and Cooper hot on his trail. The latter duo’s motivation is obvious — they’re following their target — but it’s never explicitly explained why Hank needed to go to New Vegas. There were, however, subtle hints at his reasons that make a lot of sense.
Hank Wants to Awaken His Superiors
Having been compromised, Hank MacLean is left with no allies. He’s alone and hunted by not some random raiders — he’s hunted by the feared Ghoul. Hank needs to escape, but he also needs allies, and powerful ones, to protect him. The only obvious choice for him, since he can’t return to the Vault, are his superiors.
Where are they? Why, in New Vegas, of course.

It looks like Elsbeth and the NYPD will be patrolling for some paws in Elsbeth Season 1 Episode 8, "Artificial Genius." Although, considering the title of the episode and the nature of the promo, it's hard to see the connection between a missing dog and artificial intelligence.
However, if there is one thing that this show is good at, it's balancing the level of camp with a clever plot structure.
Elsbeth has easily figured out some of the genuinely bizarre methods of murder so far, like a nitroglycerin-dosed sports towel; thank you, Elsbeth Season 1 Episode 5, for that stretch of the imagination that won't soon be forgotten.

Mortal Kombat 1 may have issues, but its ability to bring together strong individuals from various franchises makes it stand out in the fighting genre. From Invincible‘s Omni-Man to The Suicide Squad‘s Peacemaker, the latest NetherRealm title’s had no shortage of excellent guest characters, and the developer has shared a first look at another supervillain who will be making his Mortal Kombat debut soon.
The absence of Antony Starr’s voice is glaring, but everything else looks faithful to what Homelander’s all about, including drinking milk in a disturbing way.

The manga world was recently shaken when Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of My Hero Academia, recommended Kagurabachi by Hokazono Takeru. My Hero Academia’s creator is one of the most respected mangakas in history, and his work is considered to be one of the best anime and manga series of all time.
Kagurabachi
Therefore, getting a recommendation is obviously a big thing for a mangaka like Takeru, who just entered the manga universe a few years ago. However, in a recent interview with one of the biggest Japanese newspapers, Takeru rejected Horikoshi’s characterization of him and emphasized that he still has a lot to do.
Horikoshi stated that Takeru understood the meaning of the word “cool” and used it in his masterpiece, but Takeru revealed that he did not totally get it and just wanted to add a flow to the story.

In an interview, Kagurabachi’s author, Hokazono Takeru, talked in detail about how he created Chihiro and his story.

Quentin Tarantino does not view Kill Bill as two separate films. That should be acknowledged upfront as fair. After all, it is this detail which allows Tarantino the ability to claim Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood as his ninth instead of 10th film (thereby delaying any obligatory early retirements).
