Dorothy is aware of the situation
AvionPrince1610 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What an episode! Wow! I need to say that the episode was really intense. Dorothy who tried to avoid Leanne and see Sean and Julian. The sound when Dorothy go down the stairs was really well made and just make the tension escalate. But thats not all. Sean and Julian decided to tell Dorothy everything about the accident with Jericho the real one. So we can understand that Jericho died because of Dorothy and she was kind of a shocked. I really found also these moments real made with Dorothy and how she acted while the police was here in her flat. I mean it was really believable situation here. When Dorothy be aware of that she is completely devastated and the confrontation between Sean, Julian and Leanne with Dorothy was intense and we dont really know what Dorothy wanted to do: trust her brother and her husband or trust Leanne. I mean we can see Julian and Sean who are the truth (symbolize that) and we have leanne who symbolize the illusion of Jericho. Its like illusion vs reality what she will choose between them. It was one of the best episode for me of this season by far. I really enjoyed the shots and the camera movement when they are in the car. And the sound design really helped when they build the tensions. It was really a nice episode in every moments. And we can also understand better the character of Dorothy and how she will react about this. The way also they translate her psychological state with the shots and camera movements were really interesting and we can kind of understand how she felt with Jericho accident. Pretty clever.

Awake

Warning: Spoilers
The penultimate episode of Servant was not perfect, but I was certainly on the edge of my seat as Shawn and Julian talked to Dorothy about what truly happened to Jericho in the car. We got a Twin Peaks-esque scream from Dorothy about it and then some perhaps unintentional comedy as she fought her family to get back to the house.

The moment we had been waiting years for did not disappoint, although the ending it of was a little bit awkward.

I have no idea what to expect in the series finale, but what a journey it has been for fans of this show. I really hope we do not get a letdown when it comes to completion next week.

Giving a Good Episode its Due
onikage-4932417 March 2023
This has been one of the worst seasons of the show, but this episode was actually good.

The acting by Rupert Grint is amazing and Lauren Ambrose is pretty good too. The episode progresses the story pretty well. If you're stuck with the show this long, you'll enjoy this episode.

However, because this show refuses to let us have nice things, they screw a lot up too.

The majority of the episode is filler and/or unnecessary. We've spent too much time already watching Dorothy struggle to get around the house but apparently the writers couldn't think of anything better. But good news! Sean and Julian are also injured after last episode so maybe we'll get to see them struggling.

Also the storyline they're running with Leanne's Powers has become laughable and stupid. The Storm from last episode clearly wasn't a major problem since Sean and Julian were able to be taken to the hospital with no problem. This whole "Leeane vs. God" thing is still the worst direction they've taken the show in and I'll be very surprised if they resolve that in the Finale in a decent way.

Apparently "Sean and Julian open up about a secret" -- to put it mildly
ldbear-3150812 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This might be the singularly best episode on this entire series, and that's saying a lot. The performances -- particularly in the car -- between Kebbell, Ambrose and Grint could not have happened earlier in this series. It required the chemistry between the three and the knowledge each has of their character and the two others to have created that magic in the car. An acting clinic four seasons in the making.

When Grint started crying, it broke my heart. All that pain and trauma from being the one who found Jericho dead and the guilt just poured out. The various looks on Ambrose's face, confused, annoyed and then realizing the truth. And Kebbell, who's growth over the series made it possible for him to sincerely accept his part in the tragedy. Outstanding. And the "will she or won't she?" at the end. So well set up, because we as viewers don't even know if the baby IS Jericho come back to life or not. Can't wait for a finale.

Wow!

Holy crap what an episode! Definitely the best episode of the entire series. I'm sad we only have one episode left. So much tension packed into one episode. No spoilers but this penultimate episode was amazing and I cannot even imagine how this show is going to end.

And it's so good that it's hard to even choose sides! Is it truly a battle of good versus evil? As much as we've been led to believe Leanne is evil, I still find myself pulling for her and cheering for her side. And then I find myself cheering for Dorothy & her family. Can't wait until next week even though I don't want it to end!

One of The Best
cturken-0881212 March 2023
Mike Gioulakis' cinematography, Lauren Ambrose's acting and M. Night Shyamalan's directing must be nominated for an Emmy Award. The mystery revealing with slow burning thriller and that chilling house environment...This show must be popular but, unfortunately it's so underrated.

Secrets are coming out and the characters are finally talking with each other directly loud and clear.

M. Night Shyamalan is one of the best mystery- thriller directors'... His slow burning thriller technique with that stable, long and fluent cinematography is so good. He's still using his "less is more" style and it's still working good.

This is one of the best cliffhanger episodes before a series finale!
ericbrown-7780110 March 2023
The big thing I love about M. Night's content is that it always keeps you on the edge of your seat and makes you wonder. Not everyone, myself included, always agrees with the way that M. Night decides to wrap up a story BUT his storytelling, writers, producers, casts and crews never disappoint in their ability to enchant you.

This episode deserves a 10 because it's episode S4E39 and since S1E1 I've been hooked, and at the end of this episode you'll feel like you're in Dorothy's shoes...and faced with a choice that will decide the outcome of the series finale.

It's impossible to know or even guess what S4E10 will bring to the end of this thrilling series, and in my opinion, that's what makes it the perfect thrill ride.

Lastly, to anyone reading this that was involved in this production...BRAVO!

"Are You Not Entertained? Are You Not Entertained? Is this not why you are here?"

Yes, yes, and yes 🙌

Out in the open

Warning: Spoilers
So now Dorothy knows. Great episode. This whole 4 seasons has been a long haul and if I'm honest, in the early days I struggled at times, with frustration. The makers have prolonged the tension, nay the agony for so long and to be fair, exquisitely and expertly. Thoroughly enjoyed this episode and can't wait to see the final one. Everyone has been excellent. The whole cast are to be applauded. Especially Leanne who is absolutely gorgeous. I hope to see more of her in the future, in brighter roles hopefully, having fun and being young. I know my preference for the ending and hope Dorothy is able to finally come through. It'll be a relief!

Snail runs faster than this episode!
Laqshayaroraofficial11 March 2023
This episode was so slow that even after fast forwarding it multiple times, it still felt like they were intentionally wasting our time. The flashback scenes could have been shown in a mere 20-30 seconds, but instead they spent 15 minutes repeating the same old story that we had already seen in an earlier season. After the last amazing episode, my expectations were high, but this episode was truly disappointing. The ending was also nonsensical. In the last episode, two characters were injured, but in this one, they were walking and running as if nothing had happened. Were the writers not paying attention to previous episodes, or were they simply making up nonsensical plot points? Even my servant could have written a better episode than this. I hope the finale will be much better.
