It's amazing to see how some people careers progress. In this case I am talking about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The former WWE superstar who's first match came in 1996 at Survivor Series at Madison Square Garden. His film debut came in The Mummy Returns in 2001 and since then he has taken the film industry by storm doing films like Walking Tall and joining the Fast and the Furious crew all the way to being The Tooth Fairy. With future films already in the works like Rampage and a future role as DC Comic's Black Adam, it is safe to say that Johnson isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
If wrestling and movies weren't enough, Johnson alongside Dany Garcia are expanding their production company known as Seven Bucks Productions. Variety is reporting that using their digital arm called Seven Bucks Digital Studios and in partnership with Studio71, Seven Bucks Productions has launched it's first-ever pilot program.

We know all about Norman Bates and Patrick Bateman, but what about their homes? Let's take a look inside...
Nb: The following contains spoilers for Silence Of The Lambs, Psycho, Seven, American Psycho, Manhunter and A Place In The Sun series two. We may be lying about that last one.
As programmes like Through The Keyhole and Homes Under The Hammer prove, you can tell an awful lot about a person from the house they live in. But those programmes always focused on relatively well-adjusted types - peeople who had jobs in television or sport, or maybe a man named Ken from the home counties who's just bought a bungalow at auction and wants to do it up for a tidy profit. That kind of thing.
What might the homes of the more criminally minded tell us about them? What kind of soft furnishings do they like?...

Like a tasting menu of a dozen courses consisting solely of Big Macs, the first, and likely only, season of Feed the Beast has come to an end, leaving us feeling overstuffed and yet still not very satisfied.
On Feed the Beast Season 1 Episode 10, titled "Fire," everyone on the show finally realizes that they all know each other.
Because while the Hell's Kitchen of Marvel's Netflix shows is way larger (and more dangerous) than its real life counterpart, the Bronx of Feed the Beast is apparently home to only about a dozen people who all know each other but don't know they know each other. (Confused yet?)

So, as strange as it may sound, Feed the Beast Season 1 Episode 9 feels a little bit like an episode of Maury Povich. It's all about fathers – the good, the bad, and the murdering.
"Be My Baby" begins with a flashback to the day Tj was born. Unfortunately, the hazy, golden happiness that Tommy has always associated with the day he became a father is starting to fade.

After doing the math regarding when Dion and Rie started sleeping together, Tommy is beginning to suspect that he isn't actually Tj's father – so much so that he orders a home paternity test!
Needless to say, I couldn't help but laugh out loud as I pictured Maury sitting across from dour David Schwimmer, preparing to ominously reveal whether or not Tommy is, in fact, Tj's father.
Then again, Feed the Beast's entire first season has...

On the previous episode of Feed the Beast, a shooting outside Thirio cast a dark shadow over the restaurant's impending opening night.
Would anyone still want to eat dinner at this elegant, expensive restaurant in the Bronx after seeing its sign looming over dead bodies on the news?

On Feed the Beast Season 1 Episode 7, "Tabula Rasa," the answer is no. The only people who wander in on opening night are lost yuppies looking for a bar mitzvah in Westchester. Turn out, no one wants to pay hundreds of dollars for a high-end meal that may be interrupted by gunfire before the main course has been served.
This latest episode stands out for a few reasons. The first is that the Beast of the title, Thirio, has finally awakened, first with a whisper but by the end of the episode with a roar.

At the end of Feed the Beast Season 1 Episode 3, Dion had been replaced as head chef of his own restaurant and could do nothing about it because of the terrible contract he and Tommy signed with Aidan.
On Feed the Beast Season 1 Episode 4, titled "Secret Sauce," the two of them feel the repercussions of that bad decision in a big way.
Like every other antagonist on Feed the Beast, Kevin, the executive chef hired by Aidan to oversee Thirio, is a cartoon character of a villain. He has no redeeming qualities. He's rude and dismissive to Tommy and Dion despite Thirio being their restaurant and their vision – and he's not even that good of a chef.

Ever since AMC debuted Mad Men in July of 2007, TV aficionados have learned to keep an eye on what the channel slips onto the air during the dog days. Past summers have brought the likes of Humans and Halt and Catch Fire; the same time frame also brought us Rubicon, because hey, nobody's perfect. This year's contender for possible out-of-left-field Mvp is Feed the Beast: a drama about crime and cuisine starring Jim Sturgess as a coked-up ex-con chef and David Schwimmer as his morose sommelier best friend. On AMC's new drama Feed the Beast, best friends Tommy (David Schwimmer) and Dion (Jim Sturgess) try opening a fancy restaurant in the Bronx so that Tommy can get over the death of his wife in a hit-and-run accident, while Dion can pay off a massive debt he owes to a local mob boss. Along the way, they acquire an inexperienced restaurant manager, Pilar (Lorenza Izzo), who takes the job because she has a crush on Tommy, but who's really there as a device for the show to let Tommy and Dion explain the finer points of the business to the audience. At one point, for instance, she objects to Dion spending so much money on skillets. He responds by offering her a dish made in one of his pans and the same one made in the big box store model Tommy has in his own kitchen; the former is...

I had no idea that AMC was developing a show called Feed the Beast with David Schwimmer and Jim Sturgess in the leads, but not only do we have a few images to share with you, but there's already a first look trailer available to watch (via Uproxx). It's a very quick look at the series, and it won't actually give you much information about the story, but luckily I have the full synopsis below:
“Feed the Beast” tells the story of Tommy (Schwimmer) and Dion (Sturgess) who are like brothers. With all the love – and all the complications – that comes with it. Dion can’t stay out of trouble. Tommy can’t move past it. For two friends on the brink of losing everything, a dusty pipe dream of opening up an upscale restaurant in their hometown of the Bronx is all they have left to turn their lives around.

Every parent lies to their children in infinitesimal ways, but no lie is more ridiculous than Santa Claus. When I was little and refused to eat my vegetables, my dad would pick up the phone and "call the North Pole," speaking at length to the dial tone about how I wasn't eating my brussels sprouts. I discovered soon thereafter that my dad was responsible for the presents under the tree. Any illusions I held about "magic," real or imagined, were shattered. This is life. The Tooth Fairy is fake. The Easter Bunny is actually a tired parent shoving jellybeans and fake grass into a plastic basket, which gets left on the coffee table next to the remote control. You learn these things as you grow up — but if you're a sensitive child like Evan "Precious Angel" Huang, your mom will do everything to protect you from the harsh truth, even...

Special Mention: The Last Wave
Directed by Peter Weir
Written by Tony Morphett and Peter Weir
Australia, 1977
Genre: Psychological Thriller
The tagline reads, “The Occult Forces. The Ritual Murder. The Sinister Storms. The Prophetic Dreams. The Last Wave.”
Peter Weir follows up on his critically acclaimed masterpiece Picnic at Hanging Rock with this visually striking and totally engrossing surrealist psychological thriller. Much like Picnic, The Last Wave is built around a mystery that may have a supernatural explanation. And like many Peter Weir movies, The Last Wave explores the conflict between two radically different cultures- in this case, that of Aboriginal Australians and the white Europeans.
It is about a white lawyer, David Burton (Richard Chamberlain), whose seemingly normal life is rattled after he takes on a pro bono legal aid case to defend a group of Aborigines from a murder charge in Sydney. The mystery within the mystery surrounding...

The top two items on this week's list aired on NBC, but since one's already been cancelled and the other's being quickly killed off, it's feels wrong to call them "NBC shows." Both have been relatively acclaimed, but when it comes to the programming of what used to be known as TV's "Big Three," prestige alone doesn't sell. Those of us who favor the daring can be bummed about this, and blame the primetime broadcasters for not always backing their best. Or we can be glad these programs existed in the first place.

Hannibal, Season 3, Episode 8, “The Great Red Dragon”
Written by Nick Antosca and Steve Lightfoot & Bryan Fuller
Directed by Neil Marshall
Airs Saturdays at 10pm (Et) on NBC
The first half of Hannibal season three has drawn criticism from some (though not this critic) for its artistic, avant-garde approach to exploring the psychology and relationship between Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham. With “The Great Red Dragon”, the series opens a new chapter, returning to its stylistic roots and introducing a new key figure: Francis Dolarhyde. Fans of Thomas Harris’ work have been eagerly anticipating Dolarhyde’s debut and the start of the show’s Red Dragon arc/adaptation, and after this episode, it’s easy to see why. Being unfamiliar with Hannibal’s source material, this critic can’t speak to the faithfulness of showrunner Bryan Fuller and co.’s take on the character, but the glimpses shown here are certainly compelling.

While the future of Hannibal lingers in limbo, #Fannibals can still lick their lips in anticipation of the upcoming Red Dragon arc, which will purportedly take up the second half of the third season. Bryan Fuller’s gorgeous Grand Guignol reimagining of the Hannibal Lecter mythos will return to Thomas Harris’ first Lecter novel, from which the Will Graham character comes (the first season is a sort of prologue to the novel). Red Dragon depicts the chilling exploits of a man named Francis Dolarhyde, slapped with the moniker The Tooth Fairy by the tabloids. Dolarhyde is (figuratively) transforming into a dragon, drawing inspiration from William Blake’s painting The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed with the Sun, misidentified in the novel as Blake’s The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed with the Sun. He was brought to startling life by Tom Noonan in Michael Mann’s...

Some of the most memorable characters in movie history are antagonists. Here are our picks for the franchises that have make the biggest impression based on their villains alone.
A great antagonist in a film can make the effort of the protagonist seem more important. The hero’s plight becomes elevated to have meaning beyond just simple entertainment. It is those struggles that define some of the best movies ever made, and give the audience something to really cheer about.
It’s challenging enough to make one good antagonist, but what happens when you need to make a sequel? What happens if your antagonist has died but your protagonist needs more adventures to keep them busy or complete their story? Maintaining quality villains in a movie franchise is not easy to do. With Hannibal Season 3 premiering tonight on NBC, we recently participated in an interview call with Hannibal showrunner Bryan Fuller, who teased what we can expect to see this season, including Bedelia and Hannibal's relationship and much more.
Bryan on the relationship between Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) in season three:
Bryan Fuller: Well, really it kind of boils down to this fabulousness of Gillian Anderson and more of her is always a good thing. And we had so much fun working together in the first two seasons and she’s such an iconic actress and brings such a specific energy to the show that it seems like a really logical next step for the series to flush out that relationship expanded and get more of the chemistry between Mads Mikkelsen and Gillian Anderson.
There is a genuine connection between Bedelia and Hannibal.

Hannibal returns for its third season next month and NBC has this great and gory promo showcasing the legacy of Hannibal. The show found its footing late in the first season which led to a spectacular second season, which also contains one of the best season finales of any show I’ve ever seen. I can only imagine (for a month more anyway) how great season 3 will be.
The new season will go delve into Thomas Harris’ Red Dragon, which if you recall features The Tooth Fairy story because the censors need something to do this summer!

Neil Marshall and Vincenzo Natali: horror hounds know the former for his directing of The Descent, Dog Soldiers, Doomsday, and more, while the latter brought Splice, Haunter, Cube, and the "U is for Utopia" segment of ABCs of Death 2 to life on the big screen. These two creative horror genre minds bring their skills to the always dangerous dinner table of NBC's Hannibal, as showrunner Bryan Fuller has revealed Marshall and Natali directed select episodes of the third season. Also unveiled are the titles of four season three episodes, one of which should sound very familiar to fans of Thomas Harris' 1981 novel and the 2002 (second) film adaptation of the same name.
On his Twitter page, Fuller announced that Vincenzo Natali directed the first three episodes of Hannibal Season 3, respectively titled "Antipasto", "Primavera", and "Secondo." Fuller then revealed that Neil Marshall helmed "The Great Red Dragon", the eighth episode of season three.

Legions of dedicated Hannibal fans have suffered an agonizing wait since the show’s season 2 finale. A bloody, savage closer, it hinted at a brand new era for the series which is set to debut its third season in a little over two months.

According to a new scoop from Entertainment Weekly, Zachary Quinto is the latest in a line of fresh meat set to join NBC’s Hannibal. The serial killer drama will return to our screens for its third season this summer, with Quinto set to play a patient of Bedelia’s (Gillian Anderson).
Since his small screen splash in Heroes, Quinto’s stock has risen, leading him to a number of TV roles. His recent stint on Girls was followed by a larger role on The Slap. However, his most celebrated performance was as American Horror Story‘s crazed psychopath, Bloody Face. While we don’t know the specifics of his role on Hannibal, if there’s any chance he might be retreading crazy territory… we’re in.
Alas, on the basis of EW’s brief report we estimate that for his upcoming TV appearance, Quinto will be on the other side of a fatal scuffle.

Last month it was announced that Richard Armitage (The Hobbit's Thorin) is to play Frances Dolarhyde in season 3 of NBC's hit TV series Hannibal. Dolarhyde, a serial killer who leaves bite marks on his victims and is thus granted the nom de plume The Tooth Fairy, will reportedly feature in a six-episode arc touching upon the events of Red Dragon.
It was Red Dragon, both Thomas Harris's 1991 novel and Brett Ratner's 2002 movie, that many articles referenced when reporting the Armitage news, with scribes recalling Ralph Fiennes's haunting portrayal of the home-invasion killer who slays entire families. Less common, but more discerning, were the recollections of Tom Noonan's towering, heavyweight (6'7" and 217lb, to be exact) take on Dolarhyde in Michael Mann's atmosphere-drenched 1986 adaptation, Manhunter.
