Harrison Ford is one of the most iconic and bankable movie stars of all time, but even he has had his share of flops, duds and wherever Six Days Seven Nights falls.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison Ford touched on some of the movies that didn’t exactly fare well. And yes, he was characteristically…shall we say curt? When the interviewer asked him about one particular string of bad movies, Ford challenged him to name them–which maybe he shouldn’t have done because there are indeed plenty of lousy ones in that stretch. When they began rattling off titles–beginning with Firewall and Cowboys & Aliens–Ford cut them off, saying they were “all entered with the best of intentions.” Surely he means in this period only, as even Ford must have a hard time defending the Star Wars Holiday Special…

Fans are getting their first look at Anne Heche‘s posthumous memoir. Five months after the actress died following a fiery car crash, the first excerpt from her second memoir has been released.
In Call Me Anne, the follow-up to her 2001 book, Call Me Crazy, Heche writes about her romance with Ellen DeGeneres.
“In 1997, I began a relationship with Ellen DeGeneres and was on the set of my first starring role in a big-budget movie, Six Days, Seven Nights,” Heche writes in an excerpt obtained by People. “I was called into my costar Harrison Ford’s trailer one lunch break within the first week of shooting. I was met with the sight of director Ivan Reitman and Harrison sitting on one of two white pleather sofas.”
“I hesitantly sat on the opposite white pleather sofa. They had seen the evening news. Rumors were reported that Ellen and I were pregnant.

Robert Zemeckis' 2000 film "What Lies Beneath" might be the most underrated in the celebrated filmmaker's oeuvre. Written by Clark Gregg, "What Lies Beneath" came after a series of hits from Zemeckis -- following 1994's awards darling "Forrest Gump" and 1997's "Contact" -- and was a massive change of pace for him. Eschewing flashy sci-fi stories and effects-based splashiness, "Beneath" was a Hitchcockian thriller about suspicion, atmosphere, and a potential haunting. It was the most adult film of Zemeckis' career to date.
In the film, Michelle Pfeiffer plays Claire, a cellist who lives in an idyllic lakeside home with her professor husband Norman (Harrison Ford). Claire has overheard her immediate neighbors, another married couple, arguing violently and has even witnessed the fear on the wife's face. Anne Heche had no narcotics in her system when she crashed her car into a Los Angeles home in August, sparking a fire that caused her fatal injuries, according to a final toxicology report.
A week after the Aug. 5 crash, TMZ reported that Heche was “under the influence” of cocaine and possibly fentanyl, but not alcohol, citing law enforcement sources. An L.A. police spokesperson told TheWrap at the time that Heche, still clinging to life, was under investigation for felony DUI.
But on Tuesday, the LA County coroner said a final toxicology report showed the presence of benzoylecgonine, an inactive cocaine metabolite that only indicates past use. “Therefore there was no evidence of impairment by illicit substances at the time of the crash,” the coroner said.
A urine toxicology result detected “medications given to her after being treated in the hospital (including fentanyl) and prior use of marijuana, but...

Legendary Hollywood men typically stick to specific archetypes when playing the romantic lead in their films. Where Humphrey Bogart was often coarse and cynical with a heart of gold, Cary Grant tended to be debonair and sharp-witted with a mischievous streak. At the peak of his movie stardom, Harrison Ford had a touch of both those gents. He was a cocky scoundrel who bore his skepticism like a shield yet would allow himself to be unguarded and even sweet in the right company. Ford was also just as foxy donning a fedora as he was rocking the adorkable getup of a mild-mannered professor.
After breaking out as the suave cosmic reprobate Han Solo in "Star Wars: A New Hope," Ford co-starred in Jeremy Paul Kagan's 1977 Vietnam War veteran drama, "Heroes" (a film he worked on prior to "A New Hope" reaching theaters), and Guy Hamilton's 1978 "Guns of Navarone" sequel,...

The battle for control over Anne Heche‘s estate gained some focus on Tuesday when the judge ruled at her estate hearing that her eldest son, Homer Heche Laffoon, can oversee the estate for now.
The ruling comes less than a week after Homer filed legal documents, obtained by Et, claiming the “Six Days, Seven Nights” star had only 400,000 to her name at the time of her death. Those same docs state that Heche lived in an apartment and that she did not own any property.
The documents also state that Heche was working on a book titled Call Me Anne, which “is still on track to be released in early 2023.” Back in September, the book’s publisher and distributor — Viva Editions and Simon & Schuster — announced the 140-page memoir will be released Jan. 24, 2023.

Anne Heche, the award-winning star of “Six Days Seven Nights” and “Walking and Talking,” died Aug. 14 at the age of 53 after being involved in a car crash in Los Angeles. Her life and career were often overshadowed by tabloid coverage of her three-year relationship with Ellen DeGeneres, a union that helped usher in a new era of gay representation in media, but one that came at the expense of Heche’s privacy.
Heche never recaptured the level of stardom she had achieved in the late 1990s, but she worked at a high level on television, film and Broadway. One of her final completed features, “What Remains,” a murder mystery that co-stars Kellan Lutz and Cress Williams, wrapped in late 2021. Its director, Nathan Scoggins, shares an emotional tribute to Heche in which he praises her talent, kindness and resilience.
Anne Heche gave me her very best, and I’m forever grateful.

Anne Heche, star of “Six Days, Seven Nights” and Emmy winner for the NBC soap opera “Another World,” has “been peacefully taken off life support,” a spokesperson for the family said in a brief statement Sunday night. Her desire to donate her organs is being fulfilled, as matches have been found. She was 53.
The announcement came nine days after Heche crashed her Mini Cooper into an L.A. apartment complex garage, sped away when residents tried to help and then crashed into a nearby home, setting off a destructive fire that required a dramatic rescue and landed the actress in the hospital with severe burns. No one else was hurt, though the homeowner was in the backyard and later said she had been mildly injured.
Late last week, TMZ reported that she was brain-dead, which is legally considered dead in California. A rep for Heche confirmed to TheWrap that she had no brain function.

On Friday, August 5, actress Anne Heche crashed her Mini Cooper into a private residence in Los Angeles’ Mar Vista neighborhood. The vehicle erupted in flames and destroyed the occupant’s rented home and a lifetime’s worth of possessions. Extricated from the wreck, Heche was taken to the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital, where she was initially stated to have suffered severe burns and was intubated but was thought to be in stable condition.
The days ahead featured rampant speculation about the events leading up to the crash and what its fallout would be: Was Heche drunk or on narcotics? (A blood test taken post-accident indicated the presence of cocaine.) Would she face felony DUI? (The LAPD was indeed investigating this with that charge in mind.) Less frequently discussed was Heche’s current condition: How severe were her injuries? Would she survive? What would the impact be on her two sons,...

The news that Anne Heche has been declared legally dead from the injuries she sustained in an Aug. 5 car crash comes as a particularly baleful end to her story. There’s not merely the obvious element of human tragedy for Heche and her family, as well as, it ought to be said, the woman whose house Heche destroyed with her car. But Heche’s final days playing out in a spectacle of tabloid interest and ambiguity around her state of mind comes as an eerie echo of various moments throughout her life in public. Heche was a star dimmed and diminished by the aura of scandal that she couldn’t shake — and one who, despite that, tried unrelentingly to bring the audience into her world.
