I have not actually seen this serial, and it may not exist. However, still pictures from the movie do exist as I have a copy of the novel "illustrated with scenes from the Pathe Photoplay". A common practice with novels later turned into movies. The captions are apparently subtitles from the movie rather than from the book. Judging by these, and by the titles of the episodes, the plot of the film differed drastically from the book, which I have read.Like a lot of Emerson Hough's work, it is not very good. Only a relatively small part of the book takes place in the West, and none in California. It is not really a Western novel. The main characters are the same, but apparently not the plot. The movie may have been better than the book, but that is not saying much.
