CAA and Gersh launch Efm sales.
Tom Hanks will serve as executive producer on the Second World War D-Day landings film No Better Place To Die, which will be available to buyers at the Efm this week.
CAA and Gersh are arranging financing on the feature and represent Us rights in Berlin.
Vietnam War veteran Dale Dye wrote and directs the film and the parties involved say the project will do for the story of the D-Day airborne assault what Saving Private Ryan did for the Normandy beach landings.
Dye and Hanks worked together on Saving Private Ryan, where the latter played the role of a war department colonel. They also collaborated together in Forrest Gump, Band Of Brothers, The Pacific and Larry Crowne.
No Better Place To Die will focus on a small band of paratroopers who seized and held the strategically crucial La Fiere bridge and an adjacent causeway to prevent German forces from counterattacking...

Mount Whitney is the highest summit in Sierra Nevada and the contiguous United States. Every year, many people hike the 22-mile trail. The new thriller “Blue Jay” follows a young couple doing just that when they discover a mysterious group of mountain men who develop a dark obsession with the young woman. The film stars Sara Lindsey (“Concussion”), James Landry Hébert (“Taken”) and Travis Aaron Wade (“Supernatural”). Lindsey co-wrote the film with her then-fiancé Michael Ciulla, who also directed the feature and based it on a hiking experience he had in his own life. Watch an exclusive clip from the film below featuring Ashley (Lindsey) trying to evade the men.

Stars: John Travolta, Abigail Spencer, Christopher Plummer, Jennifer Ehle, Tye Sheridan, Anson Mount, Marcus Thomas, Travis Aaron Wade | Written by Richard D’Ovidio | Directed by Philip Martin
The Forger is the latest star vehicle for John Travolta, a man whose career has had more ups and downs than a yoyo and – judging by this flick – looks set to be forever destined for the direct to DVD market alongside his Face/Off co-star Nicolas Cage (oh the irony). Of course this Isn’T the worst film Travolta has in his ouevre, that’s left to the likes of Battlefield Earth and Chains of Gold, but it’s certainly nothing to shout about.
Travolta stars as the worlds best art forger, banged up in jail with only 10 months to serve, who makes a deal with crime boss Keegan (Anson Mount), to get an early release from prison but in return he must pull of an impossible heist.

There aren’t too many recurring players still alive on Supernatural that could pay the Winchesters a visit, but one of the show’s newest characters, Cole (Travis Aaron Wade), who Supernatural just introduced us to this season, will be doing just that when the series returns with new episodes on its new night, Wednesday, March 18. However, even though Cole left on somewhat decent terms with Sam and Dean the last time he saw them (and by somewhat decent, I mean that he didn’t kill Dean when he could have), it looks like something has been done to him to make him a threat against the Winchesters again. As the description for the episode, titled “The Things They Carried,” states, Cole gets infected by something called a “Khan worm,” and Dean does his best to help him. You can check out all the photos from “The Things They Carried,...

The first trailer for Philip Martin’s The Forger arrives today, along with a brand new poster showcasing the film’s leading trio: John Travolta, Christopher Plummer and Tye Sheridan.
In the movie, Travolta stars as master art forger Raymond Cutter, who makes a deal with a crime syndicate to initiate his early release from prison. As a trade, he must embark on an impossible heist; forge a painting by Claude Monet, steal the original from a museum and replace it with a replica so perfect that no one will notice. Along to assist him in this risky mission are his father (Plummer) and son (Sheridan).
From the outset, the trailer promises a gritty, thrilling actioner – in similar vein to last year’s The Art Of The Steal. As it progresses and more of the story and character begin to unravel, it crosses into unexpected territory. Character-wise, there are touches...

Supernatural, Season 10, Episode 1: “Black”
Written by Jeremy Carver
Directed by Robert Singer
Airs Tuesdays at 9pm (Et) on The CW
It was inevitable that Dean would suffer lasting consequences from receiving the Mark of Cain last season, especially once he had killed Abaddon, and thus had no more need for the Mark or the First Blade. However, the ninth season finale’s final reveal that Dean had become a demon, a lifelong fear of his, drove home just how deep those consequences were. The tenth season opener takes a look at how Dean has changed as a result of his death last season, in a compelling episode that sets up a potentially fascinating Angel storyline as well.
The Angel issue raised in the season premiere is a promising storyline. As Hannah points out in this week’s episode, much of the Angels’ storylines have been about gaining control,...

Dean tells him that’s the side effect of being a demon, but Crowley knows it’s something more - the Mark of Cain needs to be fed. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is captured by Cole (guest star Travis Aaron Wade), an angry man who blames Dean for his father’s death years ago and wants revenge. Cole tortures Sam, hoping he’ll tell him where Dean is hiding. Hannah (guest star Erica Carroll) sees how weak Castiel (Misha Collins) is becoming as his grace continues to fade, so she makes a bold choice and asks Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) for help.

Why is it that, for the second time now, rain delay causes a sporting event to get in the way of our favorite Fox shows? In October it was the World Series pre-empting Fringe because of some pesky rain delay. Then to add insult to injury, the Daytona 500 got moved to last Monday night, again because of some pesky rain delay. I’m starting to think that Dr. Walter Bishop and Dr. Lucy Banerjee need to start working on a solution to this pesky rain delay issue.

Henry (Jon Wellner) reminds Nick (George Eads) about the cycle and doesn't mention it cos they'll jinx it. Nick tells Greg (Eric Szmanda) he's having A Beautiful Mind moment. For the cycle to be complete they need a natural death for the graveyard shift. Hodges (Wallace Langham) knows exactly how long it is since the cycle was last completed: 4 years ago. As for Henry thinking they'll jinx it he addds, "We're men of science not superstition." Hodges has been superstitious on a few occasions in the past. Hodges bets on Nick who's on a roll, and not just because Nick is Co-supervisor. There's his position being mentioned again, wonder if this means anything for later episodes; or next season. After a couple of light on horror weeks, we are finally treated to a bumper crop of new releases. Headlining the week is Frozen, which is just what we in Southern California need to stave off our current heat wave. A couple of oldies but goodies are out, too, as Madman celebrates its Happy 30th Birthday and the original King Kong comes to Blu-ray. Fangoria's eight FrightFest titles bow as well.
Frozen
Directed by Adam Green
In Frozen (review), Adam Green has crafted a potent combination of absolute terror and compelling human drama that will stick with you long after you've left the theatre or turned off the DVD. One thing's for sure: The next time your friends invite you on a ski weekend, odds are you'll try to convince them to head to the beach instead. Frozen stars Shawn Ashmore, Emma Bell and Kevin Zegers.
Buy the Blu-ray or the regular DVD.

Pig Hunt wrapped up some film festival coverage in 2009 by attending the Chicago Horror Film Festival and the film has been released already in the United Kingdom, but what of North America? The film, unfortunately, does not have North American distribution yet, despite being completed in 2008 in Boonville California. That is right, an American made horror film has been released in the United Kingdom before North America. How is that for globalization?

Kicking off with an actual pig roast and hour-long set by Pig Hunt actor and celebrated blues musician Charlie Musslewhite, the event saw a packed courtyard and house.
On hand were Pig Hunt scripter Robert Mailer Anderson and director Isaac (pictured in first photo, who introduced the screening with Fango), plus cast members Travis Aaron Wade, Tina Huang, Howard Johnson Jr., Trevor Bullock, Rajiv Shah, Jason Foster, Nick Tagas and actor/Primus musician Les Claypool. In five years of hosting horror openings at the Egyptian, this scribe (pictured in third photo with Hayley Dees) has never seen a more positive...

Critic Zack Smith of Indyweek.com calls Pig Hunt “Damn fun from start to finish,” while Mitch Davis of Montreal’s Fantasia film festival says, “The wildest American horror film of the year…...
