Warning: Spoilers
Dorothy is dating Miami's top lawyer. But one day he comes with a big news: he doesn't want to be a lawyer anymore, but a clown. At the same time the girls go protesting the killing of dolphins by tuna fishermen they get arrested from the trespassing and brought to court. Dorothy's boyfriend shows up to save them in his clown costume but he still succeeds. At the end Dorothy breaks up with him because they don't love each other enough.

A good episode. First, kudos to them for bringing animal issues to the show. It is great to make public aware.

The clown story was funny as well. I like how he won even in a clown costume, I like the idea that somebody goes to pursue his real happiness in a less glamorous field, and I like the end when Dorothy just admits that the reason she can't deal with him being a clown is because she doesn't really love him. And the final scene made it so funny and sweet!

Warning: Spoilers
Guest star Dick Van Dyke is Dorothy's new boyfriend, an attorney with a love for the greatest show on earth. When he decides to leave his practice to become a clown full-time, Dorothy is perplexed, Sophia blames it on something that Dorothy did, and Rose wishes she was in Dorothy's shoes. Meanwhile, Rose has the girls involved in a protest concerning dolphins being trapped in fisherman's nets which ends with Blanche punching one of the fisherman with Van Dyke showing up to defend the protesters.

It's a great single appearance by Van Dyke and the opportunity to see Dorothy involved with a handsome man. Van Dyke is hysterically funny with his courtroom entrance quite hysterical. Rose's speech on the waterfront takes a very bizarre but funny twist. Blanche also gets a very funny moment while licking envelopes when she fantasizes about the type of fundraiser she'd plan. This well written episode has wit and heart, and Van Dyke has a great exit.
