Scanner Cop the series slowly dies. A few big names like the Lynch bad guy, but filmed like a low budget U S A network movie of the week. Well, the Rookie cop is a scanner and the viewer sees the cop as a boy and the officer which take the child in as a good role model. There is a bunch of murders in the Los Angles area using dragon style hypnosis and scanner cop is to the rescue. Not taking the meds is a danger for the scanner, but take the risk to save fellow officers. The story is okay, but the budget is lacking. The special effects are week. Being a fan of the Scanner series the film is interesting. If you did not see the original Scanners I believe Scanner Cop would be lacking. Watch Scanner Cop one time for a laugh. 5 stars.
