Sometimes sequels should never be made!
7 June 2023
The first movie captured hearts and minds as it was all about underdogs being discovered because they have talent. Their journey was an amazing one, and the film was from the heart. The songs were great, and the story one that was worthwhile telling. The sequel however is a different matter. It need not have been made at all. The story was told, the journey ended, so there was absolutely no need to tell some contrived tale to try and make a pound or two! The characters are weak, the story barely held together with scotch tape and glue, and the acting very variable in this one. The only similarity between the two films is the rugged Cornish scenery, and stunning seascapes!
