To preface,
This was something my son recommended to me, as a self-professed "geek" when I was younger, collecting comic books, watching movies, you name it.
I can't believe I hadn't heard of this show sooner.
It combines elements of school life and heroics in a way that is so western but also inflected with eastern society. It's unique in that regard.
The fights are for a lack of better terms, emotional. I feel this is a series that I have never seen more emotion be a focal point of fights rather than just going through the motions. Fights end up being an emotional and physical climax.
Man, I can go on about this show, but if you were a fan of comic book heroes, Saturday morning cartoons back in the day, this is up your alley for its unique approach to those western facets and implementing them into a contemporary eastern society.
