Lady Dior: Enter the Game (2014 Music Video)
4/10
Love Marion, but this one lacks in all departments

Warning: Spoilers
These 5 minutes are basically a music video, which was c-written and co-directed with Marion Cotillard together with Elliott Bliss and it is another addition to her short film work for Dior. Another promo movie that tries to play the artistic card, but as much as I love Marion Cotillard, this is not working in her favor really. It feels a bit pretentious. Nobody can pull off walking in a mansion and swimming in a pool as a dramatic or really aesthetic piece of film that does not ask for elaboration of any kind in any other area. Also she cannot really act here, which is her greatest strength. Hardly any other working actress has more range currently, especially in terms of drama than Cotillard. I like her singing voice in "Nine". She doe snot have massive range or anything, but they can make this raunchy style work if they give her the right lyrics/melody just like Scarlott Johansson does on the Oscar-nominated "Before My Time". Unfortunately, the song in this short movie is not particularly memorable at all, so it's virtually impossible for Marion to make a lasting impression here. Forgettable short movie. Not recommended.
