Started out at 8 and then they just kept going with the contious cliche and cringe. If it had been another 20 minutes it could have been as low as 3.

Many have already said it, turn off your brain and follow the science, where have we heard that before. The film is what it is, action, epic CGI and fast paced, dont ask questions, ignore the not so subtle woke rubbish.

Independence day, meets edge of tomorrow, meets war of the worlds, its all mashed in there.

Really missed its potential, shame.
4 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Not much to add that others haven't already said. PC madness in season four, odd pacing, crazy story direction and outright pandering to a certain demographic mainly in the last season.

What did the show do well. Covered a very interesting topic, if the US had lost the war and the countries people turned to Nazi order, how far would they go. The unravelling of Smith and his family and how far from what they were to where they ended up is very intriguing and could have been explored much more, as could a lot of the military rebellion.

The ending is total horse S and typical of the entire series....... what to do now..... erm let's do some racial injustice...... what about now...... eeer lets get the Japanese to fight amongst themselves... and now..... how about some lesbian Nazi's, just all over the shop.

Season 4 -1 Season 3 - 5 Season 2 -7 Season 1- 6.

Loved it all apart from one thing
29 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Great ending, think they could have done one more series. Leonard slapping Sheldon was a highlight, overall show has been easy, funny and all round spot on, apart from one thing. Penny gets pregnant......... really big bang that's how you want to end her story. Im vermintly against having a kid, I'm pregnant. This is annoying as the respect for the character is diminished, strong confident who stands up for what she wants, gets her life on track.... pregnant even though she doesn't want kids, great message to send out. I love BBT in pretty much every way, apart from this, perhaps not sorting out Rajesh's story. Overall fantastic wrap up.

Loud bang, mumble mumble, BANG
17 January 2021
Acting was good, Kenneth Branagh's second (as far as I know) attempt at a Russian accent, failed again. This after his go in the Jack Ryan film. Washington and Patterson were pretty good.

Basic premise, main character (amongst others) can manupulate objects sent on a trajectory through time to intersect the present. The threat is the future and they are trying to kill the present.

Great special effects, pretty cool cinematography, however the film is just not interesting. Nolan has reached the point where he just wants to try and make everything as convoluted as possible. The next film: An intergalactic man, fights space mutants, who are really sprouts, but are really the daughter of the unborn son of the man who fights the sprouts but doesn't know it...... Nolan, for the love of all things good, dial it down a bit. You got the skills, just a little less showing off and a bit more fun.

Also, standard 30 mins too long. Worth a watch, but don't rush, wait until its out on a streaming service.

Leave politics out of Christmas
27 November 2020
Luvvie celebrity crap. Nothing really about Christmas other than the shop. BREXIT is not Christmas, forced politics is not Christmas. Bad enough we have to listen to millionaire celebs banging on about how the average person is a racist and how they understand the world from their ivory tower. JOG ON.

Film about a selfish person who was ill, gets better, becomes a better person. Oh and London is full of xenophobic middle class white people.

Dont care if you want to make this crap, everyone is entitled to make whatever films they like, just be honest on the synopsis. Should read. Preachy celebs, shoe horn politics into extremely dull film that occurs around Christmas, may contain humour.

Finally a humorous film... its been a while
21 November 2020
Thank you is the first thing I have to say. A ten year old boy, Jojo, is a heavily indoctrinated hitler youth, a somewhat isolated boy whose imaginary friend is Hitler. We follow Jojo through the latter stages of the war. Whilst this may not sound particularly funny, a cold hard look at the preposterous Nazi propaganda, allows this modern day dirextor to poke holes in an utterly ridiculous Nazi regime.

There have been so many films in recent years that are not funny. Safe Trump bashing woke nosense about safe subjects. This film isn't amazing and is truthfully saved by some extraordinary child acting. People fail to see that humor is a great way to provide insights into tough subject matters. It doesn't take away any of the tragedy of the events and in fact there are many moments in this film that touch on some of the truly horrific nasty human cruelties, without the use of any humour.

Refreshing film, worth an open minded watch.

Accents people, please
30 October 2020
Mr Richie obviously has a formula for his films. A group of people all mixed in, one group wants something, another gets involved, people pulled in, a plot twist here and there to keep the audience guessing and voila, you have yourself a Richie formula.

The good stuff. I'd say Colin Farrel and the kids were the best of the bunch, probably the only ones who knew the role they were playing. Not normally a Farrel fan, he's definitely put himself ahead here. Also Matthew McConaughey can play a bad ass, when he loses it.

The bad stuff. Hugh Grant, you one dimensional squirrel, you sound like Micky blue eyes, but trying, bah its bad. Same with Hunnam, but he's forgiven for better acting than Grant.

Story is basically Lock Stock and Snatch, not as funny and not as well acted. But if you like those, you can't go wrong, it's a solid film and you won't feel like you wasted a couple of hours.

What a surprise user reviews much better than critics
3 September 2020
Critics, like politician, do not represent the views of the general public. This film is slated by critics and for what reason, a marginal similarity to other films of slightly similar note. I forgot, lets all trash Saving Private Ryan, because I've seen A Bridge Too Far.

Take the film on face value. A man, seemingly with a mental health problem, ends up in a public health institution in the US after being picked up by police. The film unravels the main characters life, all with the premise that he is mentally unstable, however, is he? The science adds up, the human does not.

The film along with its soundtrack tantalise. Follow Kevin Bridges as he tries to uncover the truth behind the mystery man. A lovely touching film of human kindness. Society could learn from this film.

Comedy to talk about hard things
29 August 2020
The film isn't really that funny, it's not particularly well acted and quite Frankly, no pun intended, its a middle of the road film. However having watched a lot of these so called serious films, on subjects that tackle some of the same themes in this film. I would much rather be entertained in this manner, than force fed misery from a serious film.

All in all, the film covers some harsh concepts but in a light easy to see all sides of a perspective way. Life isn't binary people. Worth a lazy day easy watch.

Watched for free, but paid for it.
8 May 2020
Let's see, crying all the time, millennial lovies, bits of old films, terrible acting, no storyline, no direction. Its easy to blame Disney, you can make money and still have a good movie, Pixar still does it. But it's hard to describe how bad this is.

They must have known this was bad because they basically brought the whole cast of return of the Jedi to prop this thing up.

Makes the second trilogy set look very good. Which should be embarrassing in itself. BRING BACK JAR JAR BINKS all is forgiven.

This trilogy is Haden Christiansen's creepy love scenes on steroids, coupled with an horrific story.

Awesome, funny, great story, interesting characters
12 April 2020
AMAZING. Love how this film captures exactly what we are after from spiderman. Kid gets bitten by a spider, but its not the same rehash. The film doesn't take itself to seriously and there are some heartfelt moments. Bad guy needs to be stopped and spiderman and his friends save the day. Such a great film, please make more like this.

Only downside is the comic strip affects that make the foreground a bit blurry.

A bit long, but funny in places
11 April 2020
This film is an almost film. Based on a young writer who encounters a series of events that shape his life. We are taken through Sidneys life jumping around his timeline unravelling a story with some twists and plot changes. Funny in places, slightly touching in others. The film could have been condensed into an hour and a half, some purists may say the time is needed to build the empathy in the story, but it's not for everyone.

Worth a watch, as it is fun to see the story unfold, If you can take the time.

Paul Rudd is good In this, that's it. Film about nothing at all, just futuristic film about bad people interacting with one another that takes over two hours to finish.

Same old, but women run the show
8 March 2020
2019 and I suspect 2020, will continue on the hollywood crusade, women first and storyline second. This crap they keep churning out, a rehash of the old and putting women in the lead, because men are scum. Come on get on with it and start casting equally, getting even has never worked in any history book.

Actors are ok, story makes no sense because of the time line. Tries to be funny and fails. Two terminator beings sent back in time. One good one bad, people die, good person and protector run away, film culminates in an ending no one cares about, or even has a vested interest in. Boring rehash rubbish.

Compelling story, women is awful
22 February 2020
Kind of a quirky film, man with a disability meets a women, the awkward coming together ensues, theres a slight side plot, but the overall feeling for me is the main female character is awful, found it very hard to relate to a selfish rich kid drama queen. Could of been an 8, the main Male character acted very well.

Phoenix stars, but story could be better
9 February 2020
The writers of this film have really captured a real world problem. The rich can do what they want, while the rest of us suffer for their belligerence. The human race continues to hate and distrust one another. One of the successes of this film is that a lot of people can relate to this sentiment. Take a man barely surviving, constant undeserving isolation by people, everyone has their breaking point.

Personally, I think the build up is a bit to slow and the mental breaking of Joker needed to go darker, but you cant make as much money if the film is an 18 rating. Take nothing away from Pheonix's performance, it was very very good and in my opinion better than the Ledger, why so serious performance.

The ending is by far and away the best part, you cant help but SMILE AND PUT ON A HAPPY FACE

Bond going backwards
9 January 2020
Casino Royal was a breath of fresh air, Quantum of Solace was plagued by the writers strike, Skyfall improved things, Specture went backwards.

Big problems with this film are the bad guy not actually being bad, not menacing, not scary, not really bothering any which way. Bond gets beaten up, not a scratch, stupid pulling the cuffs out pompous crap. The premise is actually good(minus the Waltz bond stuff), but the lack of good bad guy, poor fight scenes, and lack of the modern gritty bond, make this a long film with no real growth.

Bond, has a mission, building upon the previous three films, spectre the super bad force, that really isn't that menacing or scary.

Too long, not enough grit sums this up

Heart warming Christmas film
22 December 2019
A man who seemingly has everything, intervenes and tempts fate by insisting he has it all. In a Dickensian style of Christmas film, a man is given insights into how his life could be.

Better than most films, a great score by Danny elfman and a festive treat.

Different, easy to watch and funny in places
22 December 2019
A man who is lonely at Christmas, pays a family to be his family. Shenanigans occur and an average, slightly predictable ending happens.

It's funny in places, Gandolfini is great, Affleck is annoying, but he is supposed to be, the rest blend.

If you are fed up of the usual Christmas films, then this might not be a great replacement, but it is different, worth a watch.

This film made me cry, agonisingly bad
15 December 2019
Two stars simply because of the special effects, a big budget bay.

Historically correct in that Pearl Harbour occurred. That is all. I want to kick the living sugar out of these actors and writers, benflack and all the core group are crushingly cringe worthy. Made up sincerity and Hollywood crap.

Great easy watching adventure film
28 November 2019
As time goes by, this film graduates from what was supposed to be serious sci-fi, to easy watching fun.

One of the reasons for this films initial flop is the total nonsense science and total rubbish computer science. Put these things aside, forget the validity of any of the technical aspects and this is a good adventure film.

Earth has problems, a team of scientists and military personnel are tasked with getting to the planets core, how will they fair!

Simply put, rainy days and sundays, this is your film. A pinch of salt and a dash of not to serious and this is spot on.

Perfect
10 November 2019
Heart warming perfection, awesome sound track, Hanks is epic, some of the best acting seen. Critics that pick holes in this film baffle, heartless people.

A man with learning difficulties overcomes all odds to succeed, even when it seems inevitable that he would not.

Awesome

Good idea, bad film
26 September 2019
The good stuff. The premise of time travel in this way, is almost ethical and a cool concept. The bad stuff, Mick Jagger is so bad at acting its almost funny. Some pretty big actors in this Russo, Estevez, Hopkins for goodness sake. The film is cringe early 90's bad story bad acting bad action. Larger, more detailed TV's do not make this film any better.

I would avoid this film, unless you like cheap futuristic total recall lookalike films.

Eye scratchingly cringeworthy blah
20 September 2019
Over dramatised driving film, old school racer and young buck come together in what can only be described as painful teen drama.

Sylvester Stalone comes back to help a young driver, Stalone haunted by his back story, young troubled kid. A little bit of racing, women shouting at each other, wannabe macho men.

Bad story, bad cinematography, bad acting, bad music and bad time. Avoid Avoid

Just watch it and enjoy actual comedy.
30 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This review will sound like an old person harking back to when times were better. In my day, comedy was comedy, but really this is not like that.

Spaced is funny because of one thing, it's actually funny. Clichéd, I appreciate that. Two short series that will leave you wanting more. 20 something Pegg and Hynes, Tim and Daisy do every day stuff that should be mundane, yet it's not, it's funny. What trouble, stupid gag related stuff will they get up to, watch and see. True comedic class.
