After Death (Oltre la morte) (1989)
More horrid than horror!
And I mean that in the bad way. This movie was more horrible than Zombi3. How could they manage to do that?! In this crappy series, all they do is introduce characters to kill them off later. The movie is so stupid. Okay, here's how it begins: Some dude sacrifices his wife to bring the dead among the living. The wife gets drug under ground, then comes back up to kill some people with guns. A random family, consisting of a mother, young daughter, and father, are running away from the zombies through a forest. The father wants to check stuff out, so he walks...what? two feet away from his family...to where he was attacked by a zombie and eaten. The mom tells her 7-year-old daughter (who has the voice of a seductive 18-year-old)to run along, even though one zombie managed to kill a grown man, but dozens of zombies somehow will bypass the little girl? She tells her daughter to run after putting a medallion around her neck, which looked like it weighed down on her neck. The daughter skips away, not even capable of running. The mother grabs a rotted twig and goes to kill the zombie. Then, zombies with capes on gang up on the mother. Now, years later, the (now older) daughter comes back to the island for no reason. Let's just skip to the end. The daughter rips off her necklace and throws it in a hole, which spits fumes in her face. She turns at the camera after peeling her skin off (and, also, her hair is suddenly pulled up into a bun), and turns into a zombie, spitting out a green fluid. The camera freezes and the credits role to crappy music.
Zombi 3 (1988)
Completely horrible!
I hate this zombie series that tried to connect to George Romero's films. Or shall I say, 'Zombi' series. Movies like this make me angry because they just suck so much, yet people rate it high...WHY? I don't know. This movie doesn't deserve a one. It deserves much less, possibly a negative number. The special effects sucked, the acting sucked, the voice overs sucked, the dialogue sucked, the plot sucked...everything sucked. Please, just spare some time by not watching this garbage. It reeks of crap. I really, really hate this movie. The sad thing is, is that they can afford to make a forth and fifth movie. Please, do not watch this movie, even if someone commanded you to, and put a gun to your head. Avoid this movie at all costs!
Blast (2004)
I say YES
This movie was very good. I'm surprised that the discussion board is so dead, along with the votes. It deserves a lot more publicity. It had fantastic acting, special effects, action...basically everything you want from a movie. When I saw this movie, I thought that IMDb would be full of users discussing it, but I realized that it wasn't as well-known as I thought. Well, that was a shocker for me. The movie was great, way better than I had expected when I saw it on the shelf at Blockbuster. Buy it, or at least give it a chance and rent it. You wont regret it.
Go see the movie, it rocks!
Romeo + Juliet (1996)
It's a Shame
I find it a shame that most people rated this movie highly just because it consists of many stars.
I do not see any other possible reason to why anyone would even consider rating this movie a 10. That is not a very good reason, either. The actors/actresses do not just make movies great because they are in them, it's their performance (which, in this particular movie, was decent), but it's also about the MOVIE, itself.
I highly dislike this movie, which is a shame because I like many people that star in it, discluding Leonardo DiCaprio.
I like the fact that they had decided to make a modern day Romeo and Juliet, but this one sucked. I hated the way they talked, and the nicknames that they had made for certain items. Tsk.
Just watch the movie and find out for yourself.
I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006)
Somewhat Enjoyable
I finally saw the movie today. Actually, I had purchased it from a local electronics store. Unfortunately, it was not as good as I expected...the way many people talked about it on here made it sound like a masterpiece.
I found the movie, however, somewhat enjoyable. I do not regret buying it.
There were many flaws though. One of the major ones being the camera angles. Some of them were fine, but others were completely terrible (For example, the opening on Roger's chase scene and Amber's face in the cart thing). Not to mention, most of Roger's chase scene was crap...Also, I hated how they had put together Zoe's quick dream, I found it quite unprofessional and I did not like how she looked when she was screaming, which sucked, being that Torrey DeVitto is a very good looking girl.
Also, the deaths were obviously rushed too quickly, unlike how they were in the first two films. The chase scenes were short, and the deaths were quick, but painful and gory, which I do give credit for.
When Zoe was sitting in the mirror admiring herself, it looked too staged. You know, like one of those obviously fake smiles on a Crest commercial. It wasn't the actress, it was how they had made her perform for her character, which didn't work out well in my opinion.
The rest of the movie was great; the acting, violence, dialogue, settings, etc.
I expected much more of it, but it was one of the best teen-flasher flicks I have seen in years, which I admire.
I hope that they do not make a sequel, because it might mess up what they already have created, which is a good franchise.
Demons at the Door (2004)
This movie sucked
This movie sucks. It was not funny (like some of you are saying), and it is most definitely not scary. The acting sucks, the effects SUCKED, and so did everything else. The music didn't help much. It seemed as if they just had a soundtrack of one band and played it throughout the movie. Let me give you some examples of why it sucked: It has the Aqua Team Hunger force floating objects effect It's graphics of the monsters are worse than Evil Dead's. The acting was not good at all. A monster tried to have sex with a girl (which wasn't funny, just stupid) There was 'cool' music playing during dull scenes etc.. I recommend that you avoid this movie at all costs.
Death Valley: The Revenge of Bloody Bill (2004)
Fantastic! I loved it!
I love this movie. What's amazing is that I've never heard of any of these actors/actresses before and they're amazing at their jobs. The acting was fantastic. And they way they shot the film they made it look like they had a high budget. When most movies have low budgets, the screen is usually dark.. not much color. The music was great, too. My two favorite characters got killed :[. Dean and Denise. If you have not seen it, go rent it act Blockbuster. Better yet, buy it! It is a great movie. I can't wait for Death Valley 2: The Return of Bloody Bill to come out! Sure, it's a low budget film but it's worth.. the what? 12 dollars you would have to pay for it. Trust me, this movie kicks ass! The zombies are cool, too. Bloody Bill is one sexy son of a...
Land of the Dead (2005)
Awful
This movie is horrible. If you have not seen it, and you are planning on buying it/renting it, don't waste your money. You're better off watching Pokemon. Seriously, George A. Romero really screwed himself over here. And, if it's true that they are making more... Hell, I don't even know what to say. He's going to put an end to all zombie movies. Ha, he started them and he's going to end them with his crappy movies. When people die in this movie, nobody even cares. And, they have no difficulty with ammo. It's as if they just pull .9mm clips out of their ass when they're empty. I will say this once again, please do not buy this/rent this. Even if someone invited you over to see it, don't waste 90 minutes of your life watching a crappy movie.
