Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
what is happening
Who likes this trash? I mean seriously, is this a joke? I am dumbfounded. How this has got such a high rating is beyond me. Idiocracy is sneaking up on us.
Ozark: A Hard Way to Go (2022)
Are people nowadays this stupid?
The whole point of the ending is showing that the "bad guys" got away with it. The private investigator is the good guy here, he is what you might call the hero, and it ends badly for him. However it's not as black and white as this. You must remember that the Byrdes have gone through so much and there are so many grey lines to everything here. They did what they could to survive, and in the process they had to do some really bad things. It doesn't help that Wendy is a bit crazy, if not a psychopath. This is the purpose of Wendys father being in this season. Both Wendy and Ben are mentally ill as a result of their fathers behaviour towards them. There is just so much depth to all the characters here, and everything can be judged in multiple ways. I honestly shook my head when I saw the rating on here, it is ridiculous how people are perceiving this. Ozark is one of the best shows I have had the pleasure to watch. Well done.
Stranger Things (2016)
A kids show masked as a horrow show
The 3rd season is in fact so bad, that it ruins the whole show. It's so childish, stupid and unrealistic. And when I say unrealistic I don't mean the monsters and all that crap, but rather how for example four kids can break into a millitary base, that kind of unrealistic. Stranger Things is a kids show masked as a horror show. If you're got an average IQ and you're over the age of 16, I have no idea how you will enjoy this, honestly. It's such a cringefest. I mean it always has been, but not to the extent that is shown in the newest season. Unbelievably stupid, and a waste of your time.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Game of Thrones: The best and the worst TV has to offer.
*Just giving it a 1/10 to lower the iMDB score. There's no way for me to properly score this show after all these years*
This is a very short review. Game of Thrones will go down in history as one of the best TV-series ever created, period. If they would have made the second half of Game of Thrones equally good as the first half, then it would objectively be the best TV-show ever made. Unfortunately, that's not how it turned out. It's difficult to compare Game of Thrones to any other show, so much so I think it shouldn't be. GoT had it's own thing going.
Ranking all of the seasons:
Season 1: 10/10 Perfect.
Season 2: 10/10 Perfect.
Season 3: 10/10 Perfect.
Season 4: 10/10 Perfect.
Season 5: 7/10 Good.
Season 6: 8/10 Great.
Season 7: 4/10 Bad.
Season 8: 1/10 Horrible. Biggest letdown in TV history.
Overall rating: ?/10 Impossible to rank.
Game of Thrones truly was something special. And then they decided to ruin it in the end. Game of Thrones will be remembered... for better or worse.
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
cheap laughs, pointless romance and bad writing
After last week which was the definitive downbringing of Game of Thrones, I didn't have a single expectation for this episode. And lo an behold, this episode is bad too. Atleast it's not as terrible as "the long night", but honestly, nothing can beat that episode when it comes to being absolute garbage. This episode we spend half of the time on some silly jokes and painfully awkward romance scenes (I mean way, way, wayyy worse than cersei-jaime and ramsay-sansa. In fact, those scenes were great, and had a purpose to the plot, but this...ugh). The celebration itself probably lasted longer than the battle against the white walkers did. Also, Euron Greyjoy is simply not menacing in the TV-show. He must be one of the most poorly adopted characters from books to TV, ever. And the dragon/fleet scene, no words on how bad it is. There's nothing remarkable about this show anymore, it's all gone. Even the writing has turned sour. It's just become nonsense. This is the first time when it comes to Game of Thrones that I was actively skipping through the episode, just to be done with it. The showrunners are clearly lost, after having caught up with the source material. So much for having 6 episodes to create better TV.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
oh my...
This is the hardest kick to the balls I've had, and I've been kicked in the balls proper many times before. How they butchered and ruined what was the greatest series of all time, in just one episode. I'm not going into spoiler territory, but it's way more than just "that moment", it's literally everything, if you've watched the episode you know what I'm talking about. And if you rated this episode a 10/10 on iMDB, go end yourself (that's a joke). Dorne episodes were eh, season 7 was eh, first two episodes of season 8 were eh, but this... This was GARBAGE BEYOND MEASUREMENT. The whole episode reeked crap. Instantly after the producers ran out of source material the show instantly stooped lower and lower, but nothing to this level. I'm just terribly frustrated and angry with how GoT turned out in the end. It really could've been the greatest TV-series of all time.
Prison Break: The Prisoner's Dilemma (2017)
Absolutely ridiculous and over the top?
Yes. But my god what an entertaining episode! With so few episodes to come this time around for the show, there is something happening at every turn. Even though this episode is completely ridiculous and unrealistic (who really cares), it is an absolute joy to watch. I often found myself laughing at how absurd the whole situation was, but it was a good laugh to be had. Good episode.
Sherlock: The Final Problem (2017)
I would rather try solve The Da Vinci Code than this mess
Some years ago, if someone had asked me what the TV-series Sherlock was about, I would tell them that it's about the famous detective Sherlock Holmes who solves mysteries and crimes in the most incredible ways you could imagine. If someone would ask me today what "The Final Problem" was about... what would I tell them? I honestly have no idea.
When watching this episode, nothing really seems to make sense, it's too obscure and abstract, but if you take your time and analyze the whole episode step by step it sure will make sense right? It also deceives the viewer with so many scenes and tricks so the "plot-twists" aren't really plot-twists or mind-blowing at all, it's just way too set up. With all the camera-work. and the special effects, the wonderful infectious CGI, we don't know whether things are real or not, if these events have actually ever happened. It's so frustrating, and it all feels so unreal in the end. It's like I'm watching some science fiction movie. The episode also seems very unrealistic with everything that is going on, which I don't think is intended.
Not only that, but there are so many inconsistencies and plot holes filled to the brim, I mean bucket-loads full of plot holes that it's actually insane. All because of the producers are trying to make the show the most majestic and most complex they can in the short time span of 90 minutes. It just doesn't' work out. In the end the story doesn't make sense, you are unsatisfied, unable to figure out what the whole episode is actually all about. What's the point of this, what's the actual purpose, what's the real threat, and why is it a threat at all? If this episode is supposed to make any sense after all, I guess it's just too great to be appreciated by me.
Sherlock has the production quality, it has the cast, it just simply strives to be something too great for us viewers. The season 4 finale of Sherlock just turns out straight up bad.
