Writing Writing Writing
29 July 2022
This show just proves that you dont need a big budget, big time actors, or even unbroken English to make a great show. It's all about the writing. The writing is fantastic in this show and the actors play their parts perfectly. The people who gave this show a bad review just don't get it. The show is not for everyone.

Meh
29 July 2022
Starts off as a 7... then slowly dissolves into a 5. The second two movies pale in comparison to the first. It's almost as if this movie didn't know what it wanted to be.

Pretty fun

I mean... its Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. I actually thought Chris Evans played a good bad guy, much better than his role in Knives Out. The choreography is pretty good and there is plenty of action. Plot is pretty cookie cutter, but the acting makes it seem better. Don't go into it expecting a masterpiece and you will enjoy it.

Def one of the worst, but still decent
19 May 2022
The acting is good... love Jude Law as Dumbledore. Eddie Redmayne kills it as Newt. And Dan Fogler as Kowalski is my favorite in the series. It's a little slow, but if you know the story it's cool to see it put on screen. Obviously if you compare these to the original Harry Potter movies then these will never be good to you. I have been able to separate them and enjoy them for what they are.

If you like the movie...
20 April 2022
If you like the movie, you'll probably at the very least enjoy most, if not all of the show. If you didn't see the movie, go watch it and decide if you want to watch the show. If you didn't like the movie then don't watch the show. Simple as that.

Decent Horror with a Solid Ending
17 January 2022
If you are a long time horror fan then there isn't much new here. A lot of the same old tropes. However, that being said, if you can get to the ending it's actually pretty freakin scary. It has me curious enough to see what the sequel is all about.

An Oasis in the Desert
20 October 2021
This show is like an oasis in the desert and your dying of thirst... you can see it in the distance, beautiful, and tempting... but as you keep getting closer you never get the satisfaction of a sip of water bc it's a figment of your imagination. The show is a 7 half way through. Turns to a 6 until the finale. Then it comes crashing down to a 5 in the brutal last episode.

People take these movies too seriously
22 September 2021
If you've made it this far in the franchise, you should know what you've signed up for. Its over the top action, celebrity cameos, and comedic relief. That's exactly what you get. I'll keep watching these movies as long as they keep bring Tyrese back.

Solid 7
22 April 2020
Schwarzenegger crushed... you can see a bright future for his acting career... honestly if you like horror movies, you should give this a watch... you shouldnt even take reviewers who give out 1's and 10's seriously anyway... little bit of psychological horror, little bit of body horror, little bit of gore... nice combination to make a solid horror flick.

It is what it is
5 January 2020
Its dumb humor... I did laugh out loud a few times in an era where comedies dont make me laugh out loud anymore... so I'm gonna give it a 5... usually 4's or lower are for movies I can't actually finish.

I so want to give it a 7
4 June 2019
It's really a pretty decent watch...

Positives: Special effects are awesome... most of the acting is decent (minus Hiddlestons over acting)... soundtrack is great... John C Reilly is hilarious as usual

NEGATIVE: Multipile, gaping holes in the story line... if you are an avid movie watcher like me, you will know them when you see them

Otherwise, a fun adventure movie for those not expecting oscar winning performances... just dont pay for it.

Had potential, just never got there
9 February 2019
So I watched this movie bc it came up on a Netlix recommendation bc I watch a lot of horror movies. Being a horror fan, I wasn't blown away. I went into this movie thinking it was gonna be an upgraded Scream movie (no pun intended). It starts off with potential and actually there were a few cool, new ideas thrown in here or there which I thought were gonna take the movie to another level. But they were quick and never capitalized upon. The villain in the movie just wasnt really scary enough for me to actually be nervous or worried. One good thing about the movie however, was that it was pretty believable.

I guess I've been spoiled by Halloween and Jason. It could be the fact that I prefer more supernatural elements to these kinds of horror flicks. If you are more interested in movies more based on reality, then this might be for you.

Hellraiser: Judgment (2018 Video)

Not as good as originals, better than sequels
9 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I was surprised this got such low ratings. I think all of the hardcore original Hellraiser fans are taking the franchise way too seriously at this point. This is after all the 10th movie in the series.

Hellraiser has always been about the cosmetics, voice acting, and gore... not the plot. I thought this movie had all 3. If you take into consideration how short the movie was (not saying that's a bad thing), there was very little time in between cool scenes. I actually thought it was interesting that they incorporated a sort of heaven and hell premise. Its something new.

So if you are a fan of the series, and can still find enjoyment watching cult horror without too much plot and dialogue taking away from the gore... I definitely recommend this watch.

I do miss Doug Bradley though =)

I meaaaan... I GUESS it was ok
24 December 2018
Ok we get it... big time actress... 1st movie you see when you pull up Netflix... I did not read the book, but my assumption is that the book is probably much better than the movie. I think this movie is more for the general horror movie watching population that the hardcore horror movie buff. A lot of it was predictable and not very scary. It's a cool idea, but it never really hit a homerun. I'm not upset I watched it... but I wouldnt classify it as a very refreshing new movie.

Throwback Horror Flick
24 December 2018
If you enjoyed the Hellraiser franchise, you will enjoy this movie. It doesnt really make much sense but I think it meant to be that way. It's open for your own personal interpretation. No CG, no jump scares, just straight shock horror. Give it a watch, just dont expect a crazy good plot.
