Breaking Bad: Ozymandias (2013)
the best product of cinema history
"Ozymandias" is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. A blend of fantastic emotions, suspense perfectly organized and that makes it perfectly on the viewer. The characters take a resounding turn, especially Flinn, who I consider one of the best characters in film history. The turn that this episode makes the series is sensational, everything changes. At times I was even going to cry.... The thing that makes this episode sensational is the work done in the previous 59 episodes, with a crazy character writing. I was speechless...i The rhythm is perfect, I was never bored, the direction and the photography are incredible.... It would take two assessment tables to evaluate this episode.

Fast & Furious (2009)
overhated
"Fast & Furious" is slightly below the levels of the first three films. Everyone says that this fourth chapter of the saga is a total flop, a bad movie...but I say the opposite. For me Fast and Furious 4 is a great movie, fun and never boring. This is the first film of the new era of the saga, no longer focused on illegal car racing but rightly implements a great change: it becomes an action film, with shootings and much more, always giving more space to cars. According to many the choice to make the saga become an action franchise is bad but I think it's perfect: imagine a saga that for 10 movies always brings the same story about the illegality of motor racing. Well, I would say that it would be quite boring. The plot of the film is the thing that convinced me the least, I think it loses a lot compared to previous films. In contrast, however, I loved the difficult situation that there is between the family Toretto and Brian, but with a nice journey together during the film: the two are a phenonemal couple and together they work perfectly. I also loved the dramatic side of the film with Toretto tight-knit by the police about to get to him. I really liked the direction of Justin Lin that after "Tokyo drift" reconfirms with excellent action scenes. I think Vin Diesel improves his performance and with him Brian becomes even better in my opinion. I liked the inclusion of Gisele played by the beautiful Gal Gadot. I liked the film's antagonist, Braga, played well by John Ortiz. The film's photography is still excellent in this fourth chapter. The ending of the film really gets me excited about the fifth film, which I can't wait to see again.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)
I love drift
"The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" is a movie bomb. A completely different plot from the first 2 films with a story set in the future. The beauty of this movie is that you could also see it without watching the saga, although you would not understand the ending, which I really liked and has a crazy soundtrack. In my opinion the film really comes to life in its second part, the first is a bit more boring, the second is spectacular. Even here the characters are introduced very well: the best for me is Han, simple but essential, with a great interpretation of Sung Kang. I also liked D. K. with a great interpretation of Brian Tee and Twinkie of Bow Bow. One character that I never fully appreciated in all the visions of this film is Neela, she never gave me anything. The protagonist Sean has convinced me a lot and I can't wait to see him with Brian and Dom. The direction of Justin Lin in my opinion exceeds that of the first two chapters with many spectacular shots and has organized the film very well. In my opinion this is (compared to the first two films) the one with the best car races. I also liked the photography a lot. The most beautiful thing about this film are the soundtracks, unforgettable and perfect for the fantastic Tokyo setting. In my opinion this film, like the whole saga, is too underrated, these films are bombs and if they are seen to have fun and see the beautiful action scenes are masterpieces, stop. I never get tired of this movie, even if I've seen it five times.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
I love Roman Pearce
2 Fast 2 Furious" is a great sequel, at the levels of the first. The most beautiful thing about this movie is Roman Pearce, one of my 3 favorite characters of the franchise: it makes me laugh and really excited, especially thanks to the wonderful performance of Tyrese Gibson. Also the introduction of other characters, like Tej, is excellent. In my opinion, this point is one of the advantages of this franchise: the perfect insertion of their characters. The actors also do a good job here, but I think it is much less than the first film. Singleton's directing applies to the franchise and I think it does a better job than Cohen's in the first chapter. In my opinion, photography is also of a higher level than the first film. In this film the same technique is used as the prequel: simple and good plot, simple and good writing below. Result: great choice. As I repeat, to be a good racing movie you don't have to have a shocking plot with twists or a very original plot never seen, just entertain the viewer by showing the interesting part of the movie: cars and racing, and this movie does it great! I had a great time, with action scenes not only series but with many comic sides! All due to the presence of the already nominated Roman, the driver of the film. This may have been minimal my personal fifth vision of this film, but it amused me as if it were the first, just like the first film, but like the whole saga, that never tires me.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)
"It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a kilometer, the important thing is to win!"
"The Fast and the Furious" is a great opening film. A crazy movie full of moments that get you pumping. The idea of street racing is so cool! The introduction of what is currently one of the most iconic franchises in the history of cinema is really well made. They have very well introduced the plot of the saga, the characters are fantastic and I love them to madness, especially now that I have seen these films so many times that I know them by heart. Dominic is a badass and I get so excited and played by Vin Diesel is literally an iconic god of cinema. But Brian is my favorite character and I think it's influenced by the presence of Paul Walker, who I love so much. I loved Mia, Letty, Jesse, Vince and the others, too. I liked the fact of inserting a short plot with a simple and therefore excellent writing, so as to give maximum minutage to the automotive action scenes, the true essence of the film. Cohen's direction is good, and so is photography. The rhythm is almost excellent, you will not get bored practically ever, especially for the choice not to last even this saga an infinity of unnecessary hours but to make the visions pleasant and smooth. The music is great and intersects perfectly with the plot and the setting is also great. The costumes are perfect for the film and I especially love Toretto's ouftit. The ending of the film is great. One thing not to be underestimated and that makes the film even more beautiful is the presence of fabulous machines with aesthetics out of the ordinary. After this vision I reassessed the film even more positively, now I really know it by heart, but from how much I enjoy this saga, each time I will watch it as if it were the first.

The Fall Guy (2024)
a great overhated action-comedy
"The Fall Guy" is a great action comedy. The word of mouth of this film is not very positive and therefore I went to the cinema without expectations, only with the thought of having fun and a little fun. But it turned out to be something else! This film perfectly mixes action and comedy through the great work done by the actors, with Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt and Aaron Taylor-Johnson at high levels and who perfectly interpret their characters. The surprising thing about this film is that it is a film inside the film: this movie is about Colt, a stuntman, who after a serious accident retires. One day, however, he returns to the track with a new job offer and this will lead him to reconcile with many old friends and to live dangerous and unforgettable adventures. In fact, the weak points of the film are the plot and the writing, very simple, but I don't think they are ugly, on the contrary, I liked them. And then, to be clear, these films do not need an incredible plot, the important thing is that they are films that entertain the viewer with a bit of madness! The characters are all beautifully characterized and in-depth and I loved the friendship and romance between Colt and Jody, a perfect couple. But I also loved Dan thanks to the performance of Winston Duke that always drives me crazy, I laughed like a child. Also in my opinion in this film there is also drama and sadness, mixed perfectly and there is a scene on which I was going to cry, an unforgettable scene. The rhythm of the film is absurd, there was not a moment when I got bored. Leitch's direction is excellent with an incredible photograph, in my opinion this film and "Bullet Train" are on the same level, perhaps slightly higher for the soundtracks, the best point of the film. I loved the ending and this movie is probably one of my "comfort films". I can't wait to see it again digitally.

A Clockwork Orange (1971)
Kubrick is a genious
"A Clockwork Orange" is really strange...but really cool! Kubrick is literally a genius. Each of his films has an incredibly original story, never seen anything like that! Especially this film has an incredibly strange and unusual plot. This film is about Alex, a boy who commits criminal acts and all forms of violence with three friends. One day he is arrested and subjected to a treatment that conditions him not to use violent methods of all kinds. When he gets out of jail, every person who's ever been raped by Alex comes back to bite him in the ass. A totally brilliant plot. Kubrick's direction is crazy and watching this movie I was amazed that it was made in the 70s! The costumes are amazing, maybe the most iconic thing in the movie. Also the fear and anxiety that gave me the look of Alex is incredible: I think his gaze is one of the most iconic faces in the history of cinema. And then the actors: Malcolm McDowell is perfect in the role of Alex and his other friends in the film are also interpreted perfectly! The characters are great and the film is dragged by Alex, that makes the film a joy for the eyes. Another perfection are the music: constant, exciting and that go very well with the strangeness of the plot. Also the setting and photography are excellent, especially considering that the film is quite old. In the film there are many amazing details, such as the fact that the characters all speak in a colloquial way with an ancient and cultured language, and the song "Singin' in the rain"...(and I say no more). In addition, although it lasted almost 2 and a half hours, the film entertained me a lot. The ending is ultra interesting and I managed to understand it. I will definitely see again this strange and incredibly disturbing film.

La haine (1995)
le monde est à nous
There are no words to describe this film. A masterpiece in every sense. It is not one of those films that is exalted for the special effects, the famous actors in the cast or some other factors: this is a film that is exalted for the great message that leaves the viewer and for the strong topics covered. First of all I say that this is one of those films that "flew" while watching: at the end of the film I said "Is it already finished?". I'd watch it a thousand more times and it would go faster and faster, I wasn't bored for a second. The plot of the film is overwhelming especially in that it is drawn from actual events. The writing of the film is phenomenal, especially for the choice of inserting the times at which each scene begins so as to make the viewer understand how much time passes from one event to another and how much time is missing at the end of the film. The actors were atomic, unquestionably perfect performances, especially in my opinion that of Vincent Cassel, but also Said and Hubert were great, like everyone in the cast. The main characters and present throughout the film are only three, Vinz, Said and Hubert, but these three are fantastic! I also liked the other characters even if only seen for a few minutes. The direction of Kassovitz is incredible, it kept me glued to the screen for the duration with breathtaking shots, and also the photography is fantastic, especially for the choice of making everything in black and white making the film even more dramatic and stronger than it already is. The ending took me by surprise, I was shocked and amazed. For now this is the best movie I've ever seen. I conclude with this film quote: "The problem is not the fall, but the landing."

Challengers (2024)
we should all talk more about this
Challengers is a great movie. After seeing some ratings and reviews on the web I started to have high expectations about the film, and let's say they were paid back in full. Challengers is a film that in my opinion does not have a precise plot: it is a set of 3 different stories. The friendship between Art and Patrick, the love of the 2 towards Tashi and the sporting part of tennis. From my point of view, the best 3 points of the film are the actors, but above all the fabulous direction and music. Guadagnino makes, in my opinion, a space film, with a different and original direction. An example of this is framing during tennis matches, with first-person looks during the game. The actors, especially Zendaya, play their role. My favorite is Patrick, although in the movie he does not exactly play the role of the good. The writing of the film is excellent, I also really liked the fact that each flashback is specified the date of the scene, so as to make the viewer understand the period of the moment. In fact, this story does not follow a chronological order, it is a continuous going from the present to the past explaining the stories of the various characters. The costumes are great and also the setting satisfied me a lot, as well as the photography, excellent, especially in the colors. I also liked the fact of inserting the intimate component between the protagonists but never explicit nude scenes. I really liked the ending and it has a deep meaning according to my point of view. I widely believe that he will be nominated for some Oscar awards, among all the areas I believe more in those of directing and music, but I think there would be a candidacy for some actors. In case you're not nominated for any awards, I'd consider it a scandal. I'll be happy to see this movie again when I get the chance.

Ghostbusters (2016)
really underrated and overhated
I loved this remake of the Ghostbusters by female protagonists. I've seen this movie so many times and when I saw it, I still remembered all the scenes and all the jokes. A film that even knowing it by heart has never aged in my eyes. I don't understand why everyone thinks this remake sucks. I think this movie is a good movie about Ghostbusters, with nice funny characters and a good plot. This is a much more wacky and superhero Ghostbusters, with scenes that sometimes seem like you're watching the Avengers, but you're actually watching some great Ghostbusters action scenes. The leading actresses have been good in their parts, although sometimes there were really awkward moments both at the film and dubbing level. Personally I was more excited by Kate McKinnon and Leslie, the latter super nice. My favorite character is Patty, super nice and I always enjoyed every joke. I also liked the other protagonists, especially Jillian, and also loved Kevin played very well by Chris Hemsworth, hilarious! The villain of the film convinced me and I was so afraid simply by the face of the actor, Neil Casey. The direction of Paul Feig I consider personally good level, but especially the photography: in some scenes the colors and the sharpness of the image were incredible, for example in the final battle. The special effects of the movie are excellent, the ghosts look real! I think the writing of the film discreet but I would have avoided some things, such as the inclusion of the original actors of the saga: it's a remake, putting them makes no sense! The costumes and setting are excellent. One thing that made me turn my nose a bit is the remake of the soundtrack, but all in all I accept it. I was quite satisfied with the ending. I can't wait to see the film, AGAIN!

Ghostbusters II (1989)
not at the level of the first, but it's a nice sequel
"Ghostbusters II" is a cute sequel. Unfortunately nothing special. There are incredible peaks in some aspects of the film, but there are aspects that completely lower the level. I would say to start from the negative aspects. First of all, the plot: I honestly think it's very ugly and I've never been fond of it. Also the rhythm, sometimes I got bored! I don't think they even made a breakthrough in writing, which I also think is not good. Another negative aspect is that of the action: unfortunately the film devotes very little to the real heart of this genre: ghosts! All because of having a plot that has nothing to do with ghosts. Unfortunately I didn't even love the setting, which I loved in the first movie. Unfortunately I didn't like the ending either. Finally, it didn't excite me and gave me the chills like the first movie, but also just like Frozen Empire, the latest movie. Also, I think the return of the Ghostbusters to business was foolish and too simple. Now to the positive aspects: the director, good level, the actors still excellent, the best in this film were for me once again Bill Murray, but I would give the best award to Rick Monaris who played very well Louis, which makes me laugh a lot. As just mentioned, another point in favor is the fun, but in levels and consistency much lower than the first film. Once again I praise the music, the most beautiful thing of the Ghostbusters movies. I also liked the costumes so much and the special effects are good, but not like those of the first movie. In my opinion, changes and innovations were needed to keep it up. But, all in all, I think it's a nice sequel.

The Godfather Part II (1974)
the best sequel of all time
"The Godfather: Part II" is the best sequel of all time. A perfect and wonderful film from every point of view: Coppola's direction is exceptional, as is photography. On the plot I do many compliments for a simple reason: they understood that to make a sequel at the levels or even better than the first, you had to insert something that did not make the plot of the films equal and monotonous. For this reason they decided to deepen the past of the great Vito Corleone and explain his story: I think it was done excellently. De Niro plays the young Vito Corleone excellently, but never as the unreachable Vito Corleone of Marlon Brando. Al Pacino plays here one of the most important and perfect interpretations of the history of cinema with his Michael Corleone, one of the most iconic and memorable characters in history. I also really liked all the other actors present. The point in favor of this second chapter compared to the first is the rhythm: this second film, even being longer, has been in my eyes much smoother. I also liked the writing of the film more. I loved the many twists and also the transition between quiet scenes to violent and incisive scenes: they were phenomenal. I loved the characters and their gorgeous outfits. I really liked the character of Fredo Corleone, more in depth, and I loved the development and change of the relationship with his brother Michael. I also liked the idea of inserting a familiar twist of the protagonist and the scenes with it are incredible. The music of the film is indescribable: iconic, beautiful and perfectly matches the theme. The setting is also perfect and finally, I loved the ending of the movie. I can't wait to see the third movie.

Ghostbusters (1984)
I LOVE GHOSTBUSTERS
Ghostbusters is a great movie, super fun, with a very original and fabulous plot. The characters are iconic and super funny, my favorite is Venkman, too amazing, obviously helped by the great interpretation of Bill Murray. But I also loved the other Ghostbusters: Spengler, Ray, but also the newcomer Zeddemore, nice from the first moment. The soundtrack is fantastic and makes me feel absurd emotions, I think it is one of my 5 favorite soundtracks of all time. I really liked the writing of the film and the way the situation evolves. I also liked the fact that I explained every Ghostbusters device with every feature. Ghosts are beautiful, my favorite is Slimer, then follows the Marshmallow Man. I also really liked the actors, they pushed their character with even just facial expressions. Being a film of the 80s, the special effects are of a high level: obviously seeing it today you can see very much the disjunctivity of the movements and the fake monsters, but when you watch an old movie, you have to look at it with the eyes of the people of those times. I think the level of direction and photography is good and I loved the costumes and the setting, the Ghostbusters headquarters is iconic. I have nothing to say except: "Watch this movie and you will love the saga".

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024)
overhated
"Ghostbusters - Frozen Empire" is overhated. This fifth Ghostbusters film is a good movie, but everyone hates it: instead, I liked it, so much. In this film I experienced many emotions: there are sad and moving moments, others have amused me a lot, others really excited me. This film focuses a lot on fan service: it tries to refer to many links with previous films and does it very well. Other highlights of the film are the special effects, fabulous and perfect, the music, always beautiful and original, and the characters, excellent, my absolute favorite is Venkman, I love it. I also liked the direction, good, but especially the photography, beautiful. The actors were also good, especially Paul Rudd and Bill Murray. The plot is good and simple and I think it was the best choice, sometimes you don't need the most beautiful plot in the world, but just be logical and sensible. The film is also well written. The antagonist of the film, Garraka, I loved it, menacing and gloomy. The film entertained me the right, in my opinion the duration could be disposed of enough. The setting is beautiful and also the costumes, which give crazy vibes. The ending of the film made me shiver, very emotional. Few movies can give me the same emotions that the Ghostbusters soundtrack can give me. The post-credit scene is nice but I would have expected something less fun and more threatening and incisive. I can't wait to see when the next movie comes out.

The Godfather (1972)
perfect
"The Godfather" is a masterpiece. After a long time of waiting I was able to see this acclaimed film, and I must say that the high ratings I noticed are absolutely not wrong. In this film everything is perfect: the actors are the best point in favor of the film, Marlon Brando among all, incredible. Also Al Pacino, James Caan and everyone else have been excellent in their roles. The characters are iconic, everyone! Starting from Don Vito Corleone, one of the characters I love most in the history of cinema (all due especially from the huge performance of Brando), to Michael Corleone, also excellent. The direction of Coppola is incredible as well as the photography, the film also for this factor has always entertained me while lasting 3 hours, which are not heavy. This last factor, that of rhythm, is mainly due to the excellent plot and the excellent writing made and thought. For the '70s, the quality of the music, like photography, vocal audio and special effects are fantastic. During the movie there is a lot of suspense, especially in the movie end, which is excellent. I loved very much the fact that they wanted to insert strong and touching scenes not limited even to the level of cruelty and topics treated, that are very interesting. The setting is perfect for the genre and the costumes as well. I can't wait to complete the trilogy, I expect a lot after this movie.

The Green Mile (1999)
simply cinema
The Green Mile has shocked me. This film is tremendously emotional, simply cinema. Every sector of this film is incredible. The plot is fabulous and original, the writing of the film is amazing. The directing is phenomenal and the photography too. The actors are colossal, especially Tom Hanks and Michael Clark Duncan, simply phenomenal. The latter, simply through facial expressions and his wonderful acting, conveyed in me what his character felt. Michael Clark Duncan as John Coffrey is a perfect character. Like him those of Paul Edgecombe, William Wharton and Percy Wetmore; also all the other characters I haven't mentioned are incredible. The costumes are phenomenal and the setting also: all 3 hours of viewing are practically always centered in the prison, but never bored. Always talking about the duration, the 3 hours initially might seem heavy, but they fly. The end of the film is simply cinema: incredible emotions. I don't know what to say anymore because in my opinion it would be enough to say: MASTERPIECE.

Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
I'm disappointed
Godzilla vs. Kong is a tremendous wasted opportunity. This epic clash between the most famous titans of cinema could have been a memorable film over time and instead disappointed me. A film enough for the broken headphones that does not exalt the true protagonists of the story, the 2 titans, still focusing on humans and technology. The plot did not convince me at all like the writing. The directing, the action and the photography are good but not as I expected. The special effects are good and so is CGI. In this film the characters are acceptable even if I didn't give a damn about anyone because I wanted to see the titans fight. They still don't understand that the people who are interested in these films want to see them only for the titans and not for anything else. They dedicate little time to the action by tightening the timing of the fights to a minimum. The actors were acceptable and I was not excited, excluding Brian Tyree Henry who made me smile, thank you. I have nothing more to say because when I'm disappointed in a film that I consider a waste my mind can not produce words that are not vulgar and I'm sorry that it went like this for this film because I wanted to see it for so long. This movie is already forgotten by my mind.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
the best movie of the saga
"Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" is finally the movie everyone was waiting to see. After the disappointment I felt in "Godzilla vs. Kong" I got my eyes back with healthy and hard fights. Finally they understood that in these films the majority of the duration must be occupied by the titans, that is THE PROTAGONISTS. They finally figured it out, even if there are some nice mistakes. As in the entire Monsterverse saga the special effects are great but in this movie I noticed a huge improvement. The photography, the setting and the direction are beautiful, as well as the many emotions present. The action level is incredible and exciting, with every punch being dropped by the characters my smile was printed on my face. The new titans in there are beautiful, and they really got me going. Also finally after the (in my opinion) failure of the film that inaugurated this Monsterverse, "Godzilla", here you see the true power of the titan with all its explosiveness. Now to the mistakes: the plot initially seemed as simple as I wanted and good entertainment, but then as always they went to ruin with the inclusion of mythology at random, horrible, senseless and poorly explained. Also another thing that I didn't like are the actors, sometimes the situation had become a bit embarrassing, excluding Brian Tyree Henry who always makes so much smile. One thing that I liked is the comedy, many scenes have led me to smile so much. If they have to go on (as I think they do) with the saga, I hope they will do it with this level or maybe improving. So far, "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" is for me the best movie in the saga.

Godzilla (2014)
a Godzilla movie wich isn't about Godzilla
Godzilla is a movie that has never attracted me so much and after seeing it I had the confirmation, it is not a good movie. Godzilla is a film in which you almost never see Godzilla. The plot is unclear and sometimes extremely boring with dramatic notes inserted on the human protagonists, of which I do not care anything! A Godzilla movie must be an action-packed movie and you can't give 3/4 of the duration to humans and their relationships and instead only a few moments to the real interesting part of the movie: Godzilla, because that's the truth. The cast is good, Bryan Cranston makes a great performance but also Elizabeth Olsen and CJ Adams have made a good impression. The characters are not even ugly but sometimes they also interest and the dramatic notes feel, although some deaths are really poorly organized. The special effects are good even if sometimes CGI lacks a bit. The action and photography are beautiful and chari and also the setting and costumes are good. Now let's move on to the problems, which are big: as I said, the plot, useless for this film and I did not arouse interest, the writing, horrendous, in many points of the film you could not perceive anything, the rhythm, the film is of an absurd boring. But now the biggest mistake, which, as already mentioned, is to make a film about Godzilla in which we talk about everything but Godzilla. During the film I was just waiting to see the titan in action but they have inserted very little and in my opinion in a very wasted way. I think this new Godzilla movie is a tremendous missed opportunity. I don't think I'll see this movie again.

Kong: Skull Island (2017)
a good Kong movie
Kong: Skull Island is a good movie. A nice and simple plot as needed, for these classic movies of cinema serves pure simplicity and a pinch of madness. In my opinion this film decently inserts the character of Kong with many visually beautiful moments but I think they have to devote much more time to the conflicts and the real and beautiful beatings instead of creating many unnecessary stories between the characters, of which (though well characterized) I didn't give a damn about anything. The actors have convinced me enough seen also the great presences of Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson and Brie Larson, but also the others I liked, as an example John C. Reilly. I liked the direction a lot and it was clear and simple, while the photography is great and beautiful, there are times when my eyes shone. The setting is spectacular and the sound and music are good. A negative note of the film is perhaps the rhythm, a film a bit too long for the duration it could have, also because much of the initial part of the film could be disposed of. The CGI and the special effects are another 2 big points in favor, especially the CGI of Kong, crazy. The ending convinced me enough. Kong: Skull Island made me want to see the other Monsterverse movies. Recommended!

Monkey Man (2024)
big wasted opportunity
Monkey Man is unfortunately just a good movie. Some points of this film are excellent, such as the action, but then they are contrasted in great mass by incredibly negative points like the plot and the writing. The plot is nonexistent, you do not immediately understand the goal and the story of Kid and this thing to understand the origins by hand makes the vision confusing and meaningless. The writing is horrendous, very confusing. You can clearly see that the film aimed only at violence and adrenaline, because otherwise I would not be able to explain the choice of not creating a story behind. The special effects and CGI are great for most of the vision, but then there was a scene that made me totally change my mind, literally unsightly. The scenes in the ring are spectacular and with a crazy setting. I also loved the costumes. You can see at a glance that it is an absolute copy of John Wick, both for the costumes and for the fact that even John Wick does not have an elaborate story, but at least his is sensible and exists! One thing that bothered me a lot is the fact that I called the movie Monkey Man, but I don't see any trace of it, I think they had to give more importance to that mask or something more radical, the film would be different and would make more sense. The actors convinced me, even being quite unknown their dirty and good figure do, but in my opinion you could aspire to a greater cast. The characters are incomprehensible and in fact without searching on Google I don't even remember the name of the protagonist: this is the consequence of the bad writing of the film. The ending convinced me as it was all formed by blood and violence, the good points of the film. In my opinion this film is a tremendous wasted opportunity, with better writing and a good plot you could make a great movie. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

The Hangover (2009)
great comedy
The Hangover is one of the best comedies I've ever seen. This film mixes fun, adventure, friendship and many other topics in an exceptional way. The characters are perfect, I loved everyone for their character and also for the splendid performances of the actors. The best character is Alan, one of the characters I love most in the history of cinema. I also loved Phil, Stuart and Doug, each character has a completely different character from the other and this does what some incredibly weird and funny fights do during the movie. Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms were incredible and the others did a great job. The plot is compelling and interesting with a defined purpose. I loved the fact that I didn't immediately understand the reality of the facts but discovered some clues about the stag night. I also really liked the action component with so many crazy scenes as if it were an action movie but immediately after it snapped a laugh. I also really liked the presence of Ken Jeong, he made me laugh a lot. Even the special effects are of good level especially for the fact that this film I do not think certainly aimed to have a high quality technical sector but only the beauty of laughter and fun. The music are incredible and perfectly matched with the setting of Las Vegas, which is also great for the film. The ending of the film convinced me a lot and I think that when I need to relax and have a few laughs in a difficult moment, well, I will definitely watch this movie. A masterpiece of its kind.

Fight Club (1999)
extremely complicated but I can only say: WOW
P. S.: sorry if I will violate the first rule of the Fight Club but I have to talk about this masterpiece.
Fight Club is a masterpiece. I think this is the most complicated film to explain and interpret that I have ever seen, perhaps competing with Inception and Memento. The 2 strongest points of this film are the plot, incredible, overwhelming and extremely complicated and interesting, but also its perfect writing by a large hand. Another excellent factor is the actors: Edward Norton and Brad Pitt are colossal and without their perfect performances the film would not be of this high level. In addition, Helena Bonham Carter was also fantastic, even while playing a secondary character. The direction of Fincher is incredible and has wrapped me for the duration and also the photography is stratospheric, fabulous. The special effects are great and realistic, making it as if it really happened. A great strength of the film is the sound: the music is stratospheric, especially that of the final scene, from an overwhelming impact to the scene. I loved the characters, all excellently characterized and thorough. This is a film that must be understood and you have to be very careful about details and dialogues, everything can be fatal to understand. The ending is something fantastic, it leaves you speechless and literally does not make you understand anything. On this film it is impossible to say so much because everything could be subject to spoilers, it is an all connected film that sometimes leaves a fundamental clue. Fight Club is a movie that I loved and I will keep thinking about this movie for so long and I will want to see it again and again and I will wonder as if it was the first time. Just WOW.

Intouchables (2011)
the friendship expressed in a movie
Intouchables is a great movie. The plot, taken from a true story, is spectacular. An original story full of ideas from which they could pull out something big...and they did it great! This film made me laugh as much as reflect: it tackles many topics without explicitly highlighting them making the film too dramatic but masking them with many, but many laughs. Driss is an incredible character, his story is excellent, all due to a colossal interpretation of Omar Sy. Philippe is also a beautiful character like all the others present and like all the actors involved. The direction is excellent and the photography is wonderful. I loved the writing of the film, with a start in flashforward and below all the story explained of how they got to the initial scene. The setting is great and the costumes are beautiful too. The dramatic tone in contrast to the comedy made my experience space, with so many laughs that at the beginning made you laugh but immediately afterwards make you think about the discrimination that really happens to disabled people. The ending is incredible and best expresses the meaning of friendship, in which one wants the best for the other even against their principles and their will and therefore expresses the true heart of the film, friendship. I loved this movie and I will watch it many more times, because this is a movie that should be seen at least once by every person in this world.

Drive (2011)
a great action movie that isn't just an action movie
Drive is a really good movie. The plot is interesting and its evolution is exciting, you go from an absurd calm to an incredible action full of violent scenes: at some point I seemed to have changed movies. I really liked the way they mixed love and risk, and then literally incredible scenes of emotion. One thing I value the film so much for is the choice not to make the usual boring action film that lasts more than 2 hours and believes that in this genre the more violence you put the film becomes beautiful, because in my opinion sometimes a movie with low duration can be much more beautiful and addictive than boring and repetitive films with excessive duration. The characters are all well-researched and characterized. For the pilot role, the protagonist, there was no better actor to choose than Ryan Gosling, literally perfect. I also loved Carey Mulligan as Irene, another character I loved. I also really liked Bryan Cranston as Shannon, a great performance. Also to praise are Oscar Isaac, Albert Brooks and the others because I think they have all done a great job. I also loved the clean and quality direction of Nicolas Refn. The rhythm is not boring and is not swinging with super boring scenes and other tremendously interesting. Photography and special effects are also top notch. I also loved the setting and the costumes, like the iconic pilot jacket with an iconic scorpion on the back. The ending is perfectly written with an absurd photograph and a very high suspense, in the end the heart had stopped beating. Drive is a movie that I will definitely want to watch for many reasons. A great movie.
