The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)
Absolue disaster of a movie
I must be the only person that thinks this is just a dumb movie. The lead character has no emotion at all but then considering he looks faintly Neanderthal I guess we can expect little else from him. The plot is so silly with no attempt to even explain things that any viewer would question. Like how does he manage to fly around the world at a drop of hat. No visa's or passports. One would have to presume that any identity papers he had would have long ago been zapped by the government. Where is the money coming from to do all this. Liekwise the guns and the id cards and the ability to be able to waltz into top secret headquarters get past all the security and just go anywhere without be stopped. Come on surely films have to have a modicum of reality to the plot. All that hocus pocus of being able to whip text messages out the ether almost instantly and have cameras at all the action spots so that the people back state side can watch. I give this 1 out of 10
The Girl (2000)
Different and Refreshingly so
I actually liked this movie a lot. It was last feature (for me) at the Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. The singing by Claire Keim was also a surprise and I would like to hear more of her singing. The audience were impatient at the pace Worth seeing and there was a lot of nervous laughter in places but for those that understood what the story was trying to tell it was refreshingly different from all the other items in festival. Worth seeing especially for the lighting the colours and the lovely shots of the Seine.
Dragonfly (2002)
Yuk
I should have known better. As an actor Costner leaves much to be desired. He perpetually gives the impression that if he looks hang-dog enough somone might believe he is an actor. Bad idea all round. Don't bother with watching Dragonfly its really not worth it
The Bishop's Wife (1947)
One of the best
Cary and David together I cannot imagine a better pair of actors. As usual both men excel. Supporting actors also great. Loved Monty, all in all a really great movie that I never tire of watching reruns.
The Simian Line (2000)
I Liked!
I looked up move first on IMDB but only to see actors and brief of plot. Watched it and really did enjoy it. Later I checked other users and I agree that there are some plot holes or insconsistencies but I dont really care about that. I really enjoyed and it was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. I would have liked to see more of Eric as he alwyas gives a good performance.
