The Last Boy Scout (1991)
nice flick=!
Quite a though story, Bruce in his usual hangover start, is a private investigator, getting involved in some illegal business. His wife's cheeting on him and he has no respect from his 15 year old daughter.
Keenan Ivory Wayans, an ex-pro football player and painkiller addict helps him during his investigation, as he looses his career and his gorgeous girlfriend.
They make a great duo and have some investigation together during the movie and in end they, as expected, battle their mutual enemies and win.
Bruce gaines his respect back from his daughter and saves his marriage, the usual happy end.
What makes this movie special from other movies are the memorable phrases:
-ain't live a bitch -head or gud -I'll bitchslap 'em -yeah...and then some.
The Match (1999)
simple but nice
cool movie, it appears as if there's only 5 'buildings' in this movie, but that's oke, it suits the budget.
The story is simple yet viewable to everyone, no matter what age.
Even though I can imagine that some will find Sam Fox is still hot in this film :-)
The well-known actors weren't actually needed, but it gave a nice touch to the film. After all, Pierce Brosnan is one of the producers.
Sometimes it's very relaxing to have a look at a movie that's not to complicated but interesting, cause it's about a village somewhere where everyone knows each other and pub challenges are topic of the year.
Go and see this movie, you won't regret it.
Disclosure (1994)
Demi Moore at her sexiest
This one was wicked, Michael Douglas doing what he does best; being haunted by his environment and Demi Moore as a superb businesswoman trying to gain the topposition in a hightech computerfirm by all means necessary. Poor Michael knows too much about Demi, so she tries to set him up.
The fight begins and it seems that Michael is doomed to loose his position and even his wife as Demi accuses him of sexual herassement.
As the story continues, Michael collects evidence to regain his position in the firm.
This is definately one of my most favorite Demi Moore movies.
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
far too long
This movie sucked, the movie was taken so terribly long, while the kid, the same one who ruined the 6th sense with his being-around-while-not-wanted was perhaps too much in the picture.
The story wasn't catching at all, in fact, there where about 3 or 4 different stories forced into one mix. While the mecha-kid could have died a decent death for about 4 times or so, the producers choosed to push this movie to the max, making it a 2,5 hour drama with no memorisable story whatsoever.
In my humble opinon this one doesn't deserve the credit it's been given for, but that's me.
If you like all-american-whiny movies, than this one's probably for you.
Pi (1998)
massive!
What people can make with such a low budget is amazing. Though filmed in black and white, this movie is absolutely one of my favorites and keeps amazing every time I see it. The cast is very enthousiastic and to my surprise most of them appeared in requiem for a dream, which booked a broader audiance.
Go and see it, you'll love it!
