I find it hilarious that so many people who have posted here are even attempting to place any meaning whatsoever into this film's imagery! The only point to be made in this movie is that there should be no point to be made. Any significance placed onto anything contained in this film is a complete fabrication of the narrow-minded viewer who believes movies are only made to carry some message. That is the genius of Bunuel and Dali. They were surrealists. The point of surrealism is that there is no point, no meaning whatsoever.

Personally, you all may dissect (pun intended) and pore over this great film if you please, but you are fools in the eyes of the (deceased) filmmakers for doing so.

At about 10 minutes into this film, I realized that I had seen all that I needed to see to get a clear picture of its worth. After those 10 minutes, everything that followed failed to involve me in any way. I didn't laugh. I wasn't shocked. I wasn't angered by the audacious depravity of Tom Green's antics.

Why?

Because Tom Green is only funny (or shocking, or anger inducing) when his material is freewheeling, unscripted mayhem upon unsuspecting good ol' folk. For these elements, I enjoy his TV show immensly, both vicariously and intellectually.

This movie has none of those elements. It's a vacuum. It plays out like one of those hyperactive, annoying 2nd graders who will try anything to get your attention. For 90 minutes, it's like the screen is screaming "Hey look at me! I'm being naughty!!" Big deal.

This movie must have looked great on paper. It might have even worked had it been broken up into segments for his television program. But now I know its all scripted. And now I wonder if it all had been scripted before. If it wasn't, the joke is (still) on the unsuspecting masses. If it was, however, then the joke is on Tom Green.

I rented this "movie" on a whim from the bargain bin at my local Video Connection. (I picked it up just to get the 5 for 5 deal). While not expecting anything remotely funny to be found in it, I still found it to be marginally MORE entertaining than its source material (Blair Witch Project). I mean, anything is more interesting than watching a bunch of foul-mouthed, idiotic, whiney, and Pampered college students wander aimlessly through a forest being scared by stick figures and noises.

Rated 2/10 for being twice as good as "Blair Witch".

There is nothing that can be said in defense of this movie. There is nothing in "Mission to Moscow" that cannot be found, and done much better, in the first 6 (!) Police Academy movies.

I really wanted to like this movie, to be entertained by it, to laugh like I had done so many times before watching these characters. But I couldn't. It's dreadful. It's tired. It's embarrassing.

I have no doubt that 90% of the other reviews here would be completely in the opposite if the movie itself had delivered on its promise. It's not that we're all a bunch of humorless prudes (in fact, I am somewhat fond of screwball comedies), it's just that there is nothing that this movie gives us to enjoy. It's punishment is just.
