Sideways (2004)
Funny!
Many funny parts and love Sandra Oh! "Are you chewing gum" is a favorite line that me and my husband say when we're wine tasting to this day! A classic that many find boring, but you just have to get into it and you'll see how funny it can be!
The Rainmaker (1997)
Pretty Good Movie
Matt Damon is great in this as he fights corrupt insurance companies. Love these law movies as they really get into the intricacies of the justice system and flesh out the problems there could sometimes be in the law. Great acting as well.
Erin Brockovich (2000)
One of the Best!
Love this true story of a smart woman fighting for justice. Julia Roberts nails it again as a determined down on her luck single mom who not only fights for herself and her family but others in bad spots as well. Very inspirational!
Sweet November (2001)
Amazing!
Normally not too big on Keanu Reeves but he's just tolerable enough to enjoy in this movie. A very sweet message about love and loyalty and being there for eachother no matter what.
Good Will Hunting (1997)
So Good!
A great inspirational message about fulfilling your purpose and not settling for mediocrity. Very emotional and intense. I can always watch this movie and be interested.
CoComelon (2018)
Why the Hate?!
It's great for kids and there's no extra 'flashiness' that is bad for kids viewing. Nice songs and pleasant animation. It's basic but that's good for very young kids! Love it.
The Great British Bake Off (2010)
My Favorite!
Everyone is so encouraging and nice to eachother! What a nice show. Thew desserts are so interesting and creative. I learned how to make so many great desserts! I can watch this all day!
Pretty Woman (1990)
So Fun!
One of my favorites! The cast is great and Julia Roberts nails this part perfectly. I know the whole her being a prostitute thing is a bit subversive, but it's otherwise a nice story!
Level 3 (2020)
Loved This
Went to the premier and was very pleasantly surprised at the bold subject matter. Nowadays movies are all surface fluff with no meaning whatsoever or guts to address real issues people face from a real standpoint.
I was in the bathroom after the screening and overheard two girls talking about it and saying "that movie opened up some issues for me that I had when I was younger, I wish I saw it back then."
I wholeheartedly agree and recommend everyone, especially young adult women watch it.
Escape Artist (2017)
Entertaining and Thought-Provoking
If you actually watch the whole movie (which the people who are hating on it clearly didn't do), you'll see the movie gets better and better. There are parts with the 'shaky-'cam' effect but there are other parts that were shot perfectly. This was the director's intention as to make the movie feel as realistic as possible. Some people don't like that, but shouldn't take their preferences out on the message and meaning of the movie.
This movie is experimental AF and kudos to the director for mixing styles in that way. I enjoyed it. Loved the music as well, which I believe was written first and the movie then developed out of that.
I am definitely looking forward to seeing more from this director. Keep making people mad, it provokes thought.
Also, 'helpful' votes are not 'yes I agree' or 'no I don't agree' votes. Just fyi. ;)
