Having just watched this movie, I have thought long and hard about how to review this movie. I wanted to not only encompass the casual movie goer, but the more seasoned as well. After thinking about this long and hard, I have decided to break the review down into a Pros vs Cons. I will start out with the cons, as I feel like they will help to explain the pros.

Cons:

1. If you are looking for a Rambo or action style movie this is NOT it. 2. If you need dialogue, music, or narration, this is not for you. 3. Extremely deep movie. Depending upon on the movie goer type, this is either a pro or a con. If you go into a movie expecting/wanting everything to be explained to you this is not a good movie for you. If you like being able to think for yourself and interpret things in your own way, this is a pro.

Pro:

1. Amazing visual quality. As has been said before, this movie has some great visual aspects to it. 2. DEEP story. Take it at its surface layer or analyze it further and be pleasantly surprised. 3. Acting. Being able to act without saying much is something that is not seen all that much on movies anymore, but it was done with great success here.

Neutral:

1. Violence. The violence in this movie was no more than any other movie. In fact, expect for 1 scene where you see someone's head bashed in, I think this could be PG-13. I think all the hype around the violence is due to the way the film was directed without dialogue. It gives it a much more sinister feeling to it. But arrows and swords are nothing new. 2. Story line. As I said before, on the surface, the story line can either be seen as bland and boring, or exciting and interesting. 3. Ending. Again, you have to interpret for yourself. 4. Action. As far as action goes, this is a SLOW movie. Like I said on Con #1, if you are going into this expecting Rambo or MIA, forget it, this movie is not for you at all. This movie causes you to think. You won't want to grab a bowl of popcorn and a soda/beer and chill out watching this movie. On the other hand, if you are looking for a deep movie with various interpretations, this is for you.

Overall I gave this a 9 out of 10. I am a huge fan of Rambo, so I am not knocking those style of movies, but I am also a David Lynch fan. I think if it were possible, this movie is Rambo being directed by David Lynch. Great movie, but you have to be expecting it in order to enjoy it.

For many people this movie is apparently of some great importance. To a pure movie enthusiast, this movie is just a documentary. For the most part it follows rather closely to the Passion described in the Bible. However, since no two versions printed in the bible are the same, it is hard to tell whats real and not (which only applies if you think the bible is a factual piece of literature).

The gore of the movie was high, but it was well placed. Like many action movies, if you dont like the sight of blood or bones, you shouldnt watch it.

In terms of the religious aspect of the movie I fear that fewer people may go to see it based upon it's religious association. That would be a poor choice. I myself am an Atheist, but I enjoy history. I looked at this movie as much more of a historical documentary/story. In that regard it was excellent.

If you have the stomach for it, and enjoy historical movies take the time to see this movie, it is well worth your time. 8/10

The movie overall was very entertaining with plenty of twists and turns. However, for the most part many of the deceptions have been done before, making for a relatively predictable movie. None the less, I found it extremely entertaining, and would definitley watch it again in order to get a better understanding of the movie as a whole.

The film was filled with extreme comedy and great action scenes. Much of Depp's acting was reminiscent of his work in Fear and Loathing, but it was hillarious and well worth the nine dollars. The action scenes were packed with entertainment, and were very frequent. All ages can enjoy this movie, and most likely will. If you have the ability to get to a theatre, go to one, and see this movie.

I'm not too sure I understand this genre and why it is doing so well in the boxoffice. While performances were quite stellar by the big actors, the roles themselves were quite weak. Along with Spiderman, there's a weak storyline in which we are asked to join along in and join with the "superhero" as he captures the girl of his dreams, overcomes his troubled childhood, becomes a great power in a corrupt city, and ultimatley comes close to death. Why should I watch this movie. The CGI is rediculous, and the plot is just plain stupid. I understand thats how the comic was written, and it was great seeing Kevin Smith make a cameo, along with special tributes to authors and drawers of comics. However, this movie should never have been released to the public, and the amount of money it is making is representative of how much people do not understand a good movie. Hollywood is killing itself, and dragging us all down with it. Stick to the nice independent films. Great job by the actors themselves.

However, not unbelievable in the sense that the movie was great. Just in the fact that Arnold some how always mannages to find his way out of some problem. A fire fighter who knows how to make bombs, slide down elevators, fight terrorists, speak Spanish, fake identities, and find out super top secret information is highly unlikely. However, if you are just a die hard action junkie, you will definitley enjoy this flick. It is high packed in adventure, just extremely low in believability. 6 out of 10

Everyone is making this movie out to be great. I thought it was definitley somewhat entertaining. However when it comes down to it, is it worth almost nine dollars, no, probably not. It may be worth someone else renting and you seeing, but other than that, not much. The movie has some commical moments, where you may chuckle, but there is no out right laughing. All in all, an over rated movie

The first Jurassic Park was a very enjoyable film. While the second made everyone wish that it hadn't used the Jurassic Park name. The third however is just blasphemy to the Jurassic Park movie name. The worst part about the movie had to be the character development. In most movies people like it when the "bad" people die, or get theirs in the end. Not with this movie. It's just another failed attempt at trying to get all ages and all types of people to be able to watch and enjoy a movie. The middle of the movie may have you going and all excited. However, once the climax is over, you're going to wish you never spent your money.

The play Hamlet was a very well written and exciting play. Even when productions have been done on Broadway it has captured the true meaning of Hamlet. However, this movie rips apart the play, taking out intricut scenes. This movie caused me to fall asleep much quicker then any other movie has. This may be a great movie if you're into artsy movies that make no sense. To anyone else, however, it's awful.
