The first episode had maybe two funny acts the whole show. Chrissy Teigen is the best thing about this show.

The type of show you keep on in the background
aprilsfriendorin11 August 2019
Let me start by saying this show definitely has potential. The premise is good and there are some solid acts. However, the majority of acts are simply not funny. Based on the audience reactions, the acts might be funnier live, but on TV a lot of them are pretty dull and even cringy to watch. The worst part is that the judges seem to love every act. Kebab does give some criticism, but it's always veiled by undeserved praise. This show would greatly benefit from a Simon Cowell type figure who would give honest criticism, even if it's harsh. Unlike most people here, I don't have a problem with Chrissy- I actually think she's made better decisions than the other two during eliminations. I do wish she would speak her mind more though; she seems to blindly agree with what the others say. I know she's not an experienced comedian, but a random audience member would be able to provide more original comments than she does. Finally, the host doesn't really do anything for me. To be honest she's sort of annoying.
To sum it up, this show would be way better if it had better/funnier contestants, a harsher judge and/or more constructive criticism and original comments from the judges instead of blind praise, and a different host. For now, it's a good show to leave on in the background while you're doing other stuff.

A Subpar Magician over Randy Feltface?

Warning: Spoilers
I actually gave this show a chance for the first few episodes - and why not? My family loves comedy and it comes on after AGT on a night with not much else to watch. It soon became a chore to wade through the hour long session of average, unfunny, and sometimes unoriginal content to find a couple of extremely rare funny acts. The final straw was the strangely constructed panel of comedians who clearly had nothing better to do voting off an extremely funny and talented act for a boring magician who did one lame card trick. Seriously??? Not only was he completely unfunny, but he only did a single trick - and it wasn't even that good! Just sleight of hand! You know this show has a problem when Chrissy Teigen, who isn't even a comedian, makes the best decision and the most sense. Jeff Foxworthy should go back to making Golden Corral commercials and Keenan should focus on trying to hold together the worst generation of SNL there's ever been. Sad waste of time.

Wow. What a disappointment. What a shame. As a fan of "Last Comic Standing" I was really looking forward to this. What a mistake that was.
We'll start with the cast. The host is Amanda Seales? I have no idea where she came from or how she got the job, but I do know she's not entertaining. Saying unfunny things, loudly - does not make them funny.
Then there's the "judges." Jeff Foxworthy has legit comic success. But its pretty obvious he's struggling to find humor with the contestants. Not his fault. I am too.
Then there's Chrissy Teigen, who is about as qualified to judge comedy as my dog. She's just slightly less talented. In her defense - my dog does know like 5 or 6 tricks, though never reached Chrissy's level of fame, despite being naked just as often.
And lastly - there's ol one-trick pony Keenan Thompson. Turns out, he's not just unfunny on ragged old SNL. He's just as bad here. And fairly ironical when he critiques contestants for repeating characters or sounds???? Really??? Is that Charles Barkley, Steve Harvey or Bill Cosby talking? Cause I can't tell any of his "characters" apart.
Despite the poor choices of the shows "talent" - the show could've worked if the contestants were any good. How were these folks picked? Was there an audition? Who screened them? Two episodes in and I've yet to crack a smile. Except during this one commercial break that was fairly witty.
I'd have to think this show will be cancelled quick. I've had funnier times getting a root canal. At least my dentist gave me nitrous.

Give the show a chance!

I'm always amazed and confused by reviews from people when it comes to comedy. This is a virtually clean comedy show so if all you think is funny is jokes and profanity you won't like this. There's also little to no political comedy which is so refreshing in today's world. It's like a mix between "whose line is it anyway?" and a cleaner "last comic standing." Sketch, improv, stand-up, etc. Not to mention it's got Keenan Thompson and Jeff Foxworthy who are hilarious on there. Watch one episode and decide for yourself
Give it a chance

Why am I reviewing this, well it's not great, prolly more like a 6, but I do think that people are expecting "the last comic standing" or at least some sort of whose line variant. Whose line is a different breed, if you do improv for a long time you get how to flow into certain jokes, there were a lot of sexual innuendo and they were all friends and worked together forever.
Last comic standing was definitely not clean and boardered on uncomfortable for me. (But I was quite young) This show isn't horrible, not the best mind you, but it is something everyone can watch and it is funny. I don't hate the judges, I will say they are a bit too nice I agree on that. It's almost like they tried to do a Britain's/America's got talent vibe only with just comedy and no Simon.
Shows often need a season to iron out and get things right so give it a break, laugh a bit.

Funny ha ha? No! Just No! More like "Funny Nah Nah"

I love good comedy and this just stunk to high heaven. They spend far too much
time focusing on the three (3) judges and the hostess who are so phony pretending to be participating in the best party in the world, with that fake"canned laughter" that is a staple of the
show.
Don't waste my time...or yours. I laughed more during the last CNN Democratic debate and they probably draw about the same Nelson ratings. Low....Very Low
Funny Ha Ha? No! Just No! More like "Funny Nah Nah"
A 2 out of 10 rating

I would give this show a ZERO or A NEGATIVE 9-10 if i could... Horrible, NOT FUNNY AT ALL!!! and Why is Chrissy Teagan even on there... She was Stupid and laughing at tings that weren't REMOTELY FUNNY!! OMG!! PLEASE PLEASE CANCEL THIS!!! The other judges were Trying Too Hard to find humor in humorless acts... Please be Honest... you aren't doing these acts any favors by lying to them... Oh God they are BADDDD.
Not that bad...

They should rename this show "Where's the Funny". I don't know what was worse, the "comedians" or the judges' forced laughter and attempt to find something nice to say about everyone. The show needs Simon Cowell to come on and give some realistic commentary.
YES

I typically don't watch competition shows like this but NBC made one I'll actually enjoy. The acts are great, the judges are amazing, and the host is incredible. Everyone plays off each other very well and I hope that this stays on for a long time.
This is definitely NOT Last Comic Standing!

Not Funny
dbrent-28 August 2019
For a show trying to find the funniest acts, they are doing a fairly poor job. The acts are average at best and the pacing of the show is beyond boring. Jeff Foxworthy and Keenan Thompson look completely disinterested as if they are fullfilling some contractual obligation and would rather be anywhere else. Not worth watching any further.
Bring on the funny. When?
