Great Message
Just-A-Girl-147 March 2019
It is rare to see the truth on television these days. Finally an episode with a good message! It doesn't matter if you are on the left or on the right, lunatics on both sides do NOT make the world a better place! It is not us vs. them, it is us AND them (whatever side you're on). People should learn to live with each other even when they disagree. We have the right to speak our mind but not to hurt each other. I usually prefer to see as little politics as possible in shows like this one but if they have to do it, at least send a good message to us all.

Entertaining yet unrealistic episode
thedudebryant23 January 2019
If this had been done as an early 70s flashback it would have been believable. Since domestic terrorism is much more of right wing issue these days it rang hollow. It did touch on some right wing triggers though like a radicalizing college professor. I guess Dick wants counter the charge that SVU is liberal propaganda.

"A New Dawn"

Warning: Spoilers
I'm sure that there will be plenty of people who watch this episode and draw their own conclusions regarding Hollywood bias etc. Etc. Etc. Even though both sides of the divide in this episode were shown to be pretty crazy.

The premise of the episode: a guy who makes a living stirring up white, Christian males with the usual alt-right stuff )that you can see on the darker parts of social media if you so choose) is murdered by firebomb after speaking at a university in typically incendiary fashion.

The murder investigation is complicated for OA by the presence of his "baby" sister who ends up going undercover with Maggie.

Bias On Display
blairandmary29 December 2021
An interesting storyline, but the left-wing progressive bias Hollywood places in everything it creates is on full display. You don't have to be a political analyst to see that domestic terrorism is by far a left-wing radical problem in our country today. Unfortunately, that is simply not addressed in entertainment today. "Is there no truth in art?"
