Bad movie to watch for especially the acting from richa chaddha is bad and do not make any sense the story is dull and the biopic on life of shakeela doesn't mean real.

Shakeela (2020) :
Brief Review -
It is humanly impossible to make worse Biopic than this. A legendary film in the club of craps. You know i have a certain notion about biographical dramas that one should make a film on the Life of someone who could inspire you to do some real good in your life. May be that's why i hated many biopics made on gangsters and negative personalities where the main character is not a legend nor a good person. Shakeela was a very famous adult star of her time but i never expected any good stuff from the biopic because i knew that the main character was wrong at first place even though it had to give it a name of struggle. The film tellls you about her life in 124 minutes and if you could hold your sight for even 60 minutes then Shakeela is somewhere close to 'BAD' status otherwise even calling it 'Worst' is an compliment. It's unbearable, dull, scattered, filthy, slimy, asinine and what not. Every available adjective in the dictionary should be used to praise the bluntless of it. The writing is pathetic, the screenplay is perhaps the worst of worst for any biopic ever made in Bollywood history, the presentation is slummy and all the technical aspects are disastrous. What's more shocking is that the talented artists like Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi gave one the most disgusting performance of their career. Whatever was the reason behind making this film, there cannot be any explanation to it now and if one is there then it is unacceptable. God only knows how Indrajit Lankesh even dared to make this piece of crap film-making and even released for the audience after seeing the final cut. Shakeela has buried all the fields of filmmaking alive and those who will decide to watch it will have to mourn. If there is any elite club of crap films then put Shakeela out of it and design one separate club of legends of craps and then throw it in there.

Shakeela is the biopic of 90's star Shakeela. Much similar to the Vidya Balan's starrer The Dirty Picture. Shakeela story is something audience should see and there is so much to tell but here due to very poor screenplay and writing we get a half baked story.
Indrajit Lankesh direction can be termed as pretty average and sometimes poor. The strong part of The Dirty Picture was the story and direction but here both are missing.
Richa Chadha as Shakeela tries to do her job and delivers a decent performance but leaves a lot to be desired. Pankaj Tripathi is fine and pretty average, doesn't leave any strong impression.
Overall due to direction and writing, Shakeela is a forgettable movie.

What a poor presentation on shakeela actually it was a insult to her after she being fighting in her real life
it is created like a C grade film poor acting poor direction everything else was very poor
Tripathiji still steals the show the only positive thing in this movie

Shakeela review :
Not many may know that Shakeela was a Southern sex siren of late 90s and early 2000s and her Malayalam films became such rage that their badly dubbed Hindi versions made it to the matinee shows of Mumbai single screens. This film is a purported biopic on this actor though it seems to be heavily inspired from Vidya Balan's super hit 'The Dirty Picture' (2011) which itself was a biopic on another soft porn star Silk Smitha.
Interestingly, the character Silk has a small presence in this film and it is only after her suicide that Shakeela's fortune changes. Pushed in to the soft porn industry by her greedy mother, Shakeela's rise to the top and her subsequent fall is chronicled in the film though it is nowhere as convincing and exciting as the Vidya Balan film.
Richa Chadda, in the titular role, is not bad but she doesnt resemble the real life Shakeela at all. There is no transformation in terms of accent and body language; something Balan could achieve fantastically in The Dirty Picture. Pankaj Tripathi playing superstar Salim is absolutely bland. As for the other supporting cast, the less said the better.
Shakeela is not a kind of film worth risking the theatres for. You may try it out once it premieres online.

Gets more and more boring!

This film is about the famous south indian actress "Shakeela" (only in south india she is famous) and her journey in film industry. This film is unoffcially the sequel of the 2011 Dirty Picture.
Now, hardly anyone from North India (or i would say 95% Indians) dont really know who Shakeela is. So, those who really wanted to know who she is end up watching this film which is an absolute yawn fest. Not read about her much but whatever was shown in the film is neither interesting nor inspiring. No doubt for me, Shakeela is not an inspiration. Giving in to doing C grade films just because you have financial problems is not a solution there are many out there who have financial problems but have never given in to doing C grade films.
Coming to the main film, the entire film has nothing interesting to watch. In fact, it gets even more boring as the climax approaches. Trust me, its so boring to watch a lady visit her old house, slowly looking at old stuff , slowly walking around the village and all these parts come in when the film desperately needs a fire-up. At the end, the film seems to grasp for an ending and ultimately ends up in no-man's land.
Trust me, there is nothing interesting in her life that could have formed a story unlike the latest web series "Maharani" where actually there was a motive behind everything.
Performance wise, everyone is terrible. Pankaj Tripathi is being a usual Mirzapur kind of Pankaj Tripathi when you had to have that south indian accent to your voice. Dude, when you show a south indian film, people should carry some south accent but nah! Here, everyone talks in proper Hindi. Not a tinch of south indian flavor that you feel from the actors and what to say about Richa Chadda, she's neither sexy nor acted properly.
Overall, i dont see the purpose of even making this film. Who even green lit this project is a question. Neither is Shakeela inspiring, nor is she entertaining, on the contrary the film is so boring that i had to skip to climax even when 30 mins were left.

Shakeela Review: Biopic Starring Richa Chadda.
Richa Chadha plays the role of a 1990s Malayali softcore adult actress - former adult movie star Shakeela.
Shakeela is a woman in a man's world: that is the point that the film wants to make.
Overall, 'Shakeela' is an honest-decent attempt that tells a much lesser known story of a fallen star.

Richa Chadha ko to ab acting ki classes lagani chaiye.. waste of time and money.. poor acting, poor scripting.. wasted the talent of Pankaj Tripathi as well. Seems like Bullywood is completely out of talent and creativity.. Bullywood is collapsing.

Mammoty ruins Shakeela's career
nikhilnssn20 January 2021
Mammoty (salim) is the culprit for ruining Shakeela's career. Never knew negative side of Mammoty as a person. Film clearly depicts that.
Movie could have been directed in a better way- poor direction here. The Dirty Picture of Silk is way better than this
Such a waste movie

Everyone had seen bit movies of Shakeela but no one knows what was the reason behind her acting in porn movies. Some adult person is the one always induces the girls to do wrong things. Also, the society never let anyone to change to normal. Shakeela now given decent roles in the Tamil films and Tamil TV shows as against the Malayalam film industry where they made money out of her. I'm giving 10 star just for the biopic of a person who's trying hard in her life. At least the industry let her live unlike Silk Sumitha who killed her self.
Impactful!
