Least favorite episode since the disagerous 2nd half of S03

I am glad that some of the fresh wounds from the 2nd half of season 3 were addressed, amends made and friendships mended. This was though the season. It surprised me that Candace Cameron Brue would have episodes that dealt with an unintentional humiliation and broken hearts and I was glad to see them straitened out. But this episode sucked. I can understand being proud of your children and grandchildren, but Bob Saget's attitude as Danny Tanner was abhorrent in this episode. He's co host of a television show and has kids on his show, one of which was his grandson, and the funniest one of all. However, his attitude, which he states, of "it's not my grandchild so I don't care" and says it to another child was horrible. I'm surprised that Candace would have it in because what it said was that no other kids count, they are second rate for the "show" because they were not related to Danny and Becky and that really was messed up. It was rude, obnoxious and for a show that call itself family friendly really did not show it's self to be in this episode. It might as well be called "The Tanner family takes presidence over everyone in the world.

One Good, Two Bads.

One of these plots works, the others don't.

Max makes a Rube Goldberg machine for "Wake Up USA". He then gets a B a social studies test and mopes around the house for the rest of the day.

DJ is not confident in Jackson driving. Steve steps in as it would give them some more time together. When the car breaks down, Matt comes to the rescue. Seeing the three of them together makes this episode. Brief male bonding in its best form.

Fernando's mother visits. He hatches a plan to make himself look good to cover up the truth about the living arrangements. It is actually kind of mean.

What makes these not work is how unpleasant they are. Max moping and the meanness of Fernando make this bad.

I recommend this just for one good plot.
