Kanye West really brought me into the hip hop/rap/music culture.
Rap at the team i thoguht was unappealing with everyone acting the same. Not saying I didn't vibe to Pac, Ja Rule or Fiddy Cent during the time, but Kanye was my first favourite musician. He was the first album I bought (College Dropout) I still vibe to it today.
Then Kanye came and he changed the music scene. He was like the first non-studio gangsta rapper. He was a moffin genius.
All Falls down or Through the Wire was probably the first music video I saw from him, and I just vibed well to both songs.
This music video was so different and creative. It was Kanye at his view, running around in an airport. I always laughed when that kid poured mustard over Kanye's shirt.
The X-ray scene I thought was cool too. Best part was watching Stacy Dash phatty.
The song was no doubt a masterpiece. A conscious song with a nice hook that made me just stop and listen. Anytime the song pops on I'm still vibing to it. Sometimes it's best to enjoy it by shutting up and listening to the music.
Overall cool video and great song. Stacy's jiggly phatty will always be iconic.
