This final episode focuses on the career of Edward (Ted) Kennedy. It starts with the death of brother Robert and the legacy that he confronts. It explains quite clearly what happened at Chappaquidick. We just celebrated the anniversary of that event and Kennedy's act of cowardice. We are led through all the possible repercussions of that. I had no idea that the response to this event was so cold to the girl. Kennedy kept his Senate seat and prospered, although his efforts to run for President never worked out. One interesting thing that I had forgotten was his ineptitude during an interview with Roger Mudd, where he was asked why he thought he should be president. He could have spoken on any social issue (like health care), but he stumbled around and sounded very insincere. This episode also focuses on the short career of John F. Kennedy, Jr. and his bad decision, most strikingly his flying a plane in conditions he was not ready for. And then we are introduced to the whole Kennedy mob. If you want a Cliff's Notes view of this family watch this. There is little depth, but it is indeed informative on a superficial level.

A series for large public, with many crumbs of fairy tale , few drops of gossips and high subjectivity but far to be bad. The last episode is about legacy, from Edward Kennedy and the delicate episode of Chappaquidick to John Kennedy jr. And his George magazine. The fine detail - impressive longevity of Rose Kennedy. And , sure, the presumed hopes about young senator Patrick Kennedy.

A nice introduction in a slice of contemporary America.

Sure, not always fair , in not rare occasion being only a show. But working well for discover some people, their decisions and options and projects and pieces of postfactual history.

More important, reflection of family spirit. So, an useful fairy tale.
