The story line sounded promising and the review score seemed to support this.

However, in my opinion, the plot was seriously unrealistic and the script turned out to be ridiculously weak. As well as all the plot holes listed by "gustheaffen", there was the carrying of the corpse in the street and passing her off as being drunk to a passer-by; the wife's gullibility in not challenging Eagle's strange behaviour; no explanation as to why Bobby's son turned against him thus driving the final nail into his coffin; the coincidence of the murderer confessing to the police on the same day as Dom tells all to them, to mention just a few more!

The three main characters were frustrating from the beginning giving few clues that that were indeed true friends. Eagle was grossly selfish, Bobby was a ranting loser and Dom was thoroughly weak. None of the characters were at all likeable which probably explains why I thought the acting was also pretty poor.

I suppose if they had gone to the police at the outset (like most sane people would have done) there wouldn't have been a film.........sad or what?

As stated the premise is 3 guys camping find a dead body in their trunk when they return to the parking lot and for ridiculous reasons don't call the police even though there are 3 of them to explain what happened. Apparently driving around with a body for days makes more sense. Yeah as if that wouldn't SMELL. And leave fluids and stench everywhere. Of course no one acts sanely including a girlfriend. Also the acting is not great and the story dragged. Very frustrating when movies like this get promoted on Amazon by being rated highly by a few viewers. Complete waste of time.

The story line has the potential to be good. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Mediocre acting, boring and the characters make really dumb decisions. . I finally had to turn it off with 35 minutes left. At the point that, the body had been in the trunk for days in the hot California sun and never began the decomposition process. No smell, bloating, liquefaction or insect infestation. If a friend drives you to pickup up your car, why would you then exit that car and walk down the street to the auto store to buy a heavy car battery then lug it back to your own car? I would like to know how it ends, it will just have to read the spoilers on this site. I can't suffer through the movie any longer.

Pathetic. Some of those posting a review have only that single review to their name. One of them has apparently made a job out of highly rating bad indie movies and probably gets paid to do it.

The beginning of the movie was fine but quickly took a wrong turn when the director decided to film another 80 minutes or so. The premise that 3 friends would not go to the cops immediately is ridiculous, even if one is an ex-con. First, there would be no forensic evidence linking any of them to the crime. Second, they didn't know the woman and there would be zero evidence that any of them had even met her before. Third, what the heck was the motive??

But okay, let's accept that. As someone else pointed out, a body kept in a closed car trunk in hot Los Angeles is going to decompose a lot faster than normal, and it would have bloated with gas and various fluids would leak out and the smell would have been obvious to anyone near that car. Not possible it went undetected and when the 'stolen' car was found and returned I guarantee you that the police would have searched the vehicle before handing it over.

Then the ex-con Eagle drives and then carries the body and apparently (we don't see this) dumps it in one of his friends car - how did he open the trunk since he didn't have the keys? Then the friend discovers the body, freaks out, puts it in his OWN bathtub and tries to wash it clean of his fingerprints. The next day he panics and dumps the body in a lake. After that he commits suicide by ODing. That's the first good thing I saw in the movie.

Anyway, I'm boring myself writing about this garbage but the director has no clue how to pace a movie and tell a story. Maybe the actors could have done better but why bother when the director is a tool?

I stopped watching, just to write this review. I have a half an hour left and I'm really debating if I'm going to continue. There is not one redeeming quality in this movie. Not one! I'm a glutton for punishment and I love bad movies because you can at least find humor but this, it's illogical. There are spoilers all over this review but I wouldn't think of them as spoilers, more like warnings or reasons to not watch it.

1. Grown men popping a zit around a campfire.

2. One by one each guy looks in their trunk, sees the body and doesn't say anything.

3. One guy has a record so he convinces the other two, to not call the police. Even though, nothing connects these guys to the mystery woman in the trunk. No reason to not call the police.

4. Speeds down the road, with a body in the trunk. One would think you would drive better than if you're taking your driving test.

5. Cop walks up to window, asks for the window to be rolled down. He cracks it. Cop says more. He says it's enough. Actually arguing with the cop about rolling his window down, causing a scene, even though he just made a huge deal about him being the only one talking.

6. Tells girlfriend, the cars not starting so he's taking the bus. Girlfriend tries the car later and it's working, so she decides to take a possible breaking down car, to the grocery store and leaves a note. He comes home sees this note, panics, hops on his bike to arrive just in time to catch the girlfriend opening the trunk to put her groceries away. Which she fumbled through the longest, quietest parking lot ever, with no shopping cart. He makes this huge deal, I have something in me eye, baby help me. Distracts her and gives her a, chase the deer into the road, got hit by a car, so we stuck it in the trunk, to cut up meat at some point in the next few years I'm guessing, story. She buys it. She then hops in the back seat and he drives home. What about the bike?

7. Drives the car to some location. Calls the police to report it stolen right at the place, right when he drops it off.

8. Friend picks him up and has a screaming child in the car. "Eagle" is irritated that he can't hear the police because of the kid. Even though the call shouldn't have been placed till, I don't know, the next morning, he doesn't just step out of the car.

9. This kid. Looks 7. Acts like 4. Talks to him like he's 2. Very uncomfortable watching that.

10. Boyfriend tells girlfriend car is stolen. Next morning. The police found car and she wanders around the lot, finds it and drives off. Thinks battery is an issue. Changes battery acts like she just replaced the engine and discovers body.

Keep in mind it's been a few days and the smell is not bothering anyone. There are no fluids. The acting in this movie is horrible and the choices make no sense. I don't know if I can finish this. Oh and now the friend is all coked out from stress and an awkward meeting with an old drug dealer, who loves birds and sativa. There's more but I don't know if I will ever know.

This film opens with an interesting premise - three guys return to their car to discover a dead body. What's unique about this story is that instead of building up to the crime, we spend our time dealing with the after math of it, and how it effects the characters. Silent Panic is a fitting title, as these guys must then reintegrate into their lives while harboring a secret and searching for solutions.
