I admire many of Nicholas Steele's movies, made before he took a commercially advantageous but artistically disastrous career turn into directing overstuffed (with orgies) Bluebird porn-parodies for opportunist producer/"actor" Paul Chaplin. This is one of many he shot independently, after a strong series of hits for Ultimate Pictures/Adam & Eve Productions at the turn of this century, that years later received wider release via Bluebird reissues under Steele's own "Seductions" label.
"Dirty Little Secrets" is one of three sex films released in 2006, and has an unfinished quality about it. Many scenes suddenly fade out, continuity is poor, and nothing seems to add up. But it is far from the all-sex, gonzo feature we have become accustomed to, so what emerges is neither fish nor fowl.
Screenplay credited to Scarlett Fever is barely an outline, concerning petite (but with requisite big, big tits) Hillary Scott as a forlorn waitress dreaming or romance, or as depicted here raw sex. Her fantasy of humping an ex-boyfriend Sledge Hammer on a ladder is a classic scene, hot as hell and depicting extreme anal penetration that many a current hack director mining the field of IR sex (think Greg Lansky or Mason) would envy. Alas, Sledge died years ago and his replacements in the Big Black Dick sweepstakes are very poor substitutes.
The rest of the picture is arbitrary sex scenes of her co-workers at the diner having sex, particularly Joey Ray playing the cook. A lesbian scene featuring obscure performer Lexi Love and subsequently Sapphic star Sammie Rhodes (sloppily credited on screen as "Sammy Rhodesgirl" in the opening credits) is shoehorned awkwardly into the film. Movie ends with Joey humping another girl (who has hardly any character established at all) played by Delilah Strong and it becomes obvious Steele & co. lost interest in the project, just wrapping it up and on to the next one. I had the same reaction to another "unfinished"-seeming Steele opus: "Edge Runner".
