Another 2 interesting characters introduced
ha77y73ad973 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Hawk and Dove are going to be the mentors of this young emerging Titans team, through out the episode we see that there has been previous history between Robin and the duo. Another engaging fight scene set a few years before this series showing the dark side of superheros very close to daredevil fighting style but with more superhero costumes.

Raven is the main driving force behind this series and keeping her safe and also taming her powers are robins main objective. After running to Washington DC to hide out, a strange family has been activated possible government sleeper team to track down Raven. these are some hypnotically weird family happy and friendly on the surface but these are natural born killers.

The fight at the end gave us a fright for Dove but we all know shell be back in the next episode. Well Choreographed scene where the stakes are high for the 4 hero's of the story. With Raven being taken at the end of the episode the story is evolving quickly to be one of my favourite live action superheros series eclipsing many of the CW DC stories and all of the Marvel series that arent on Netflix

I Enjoyed This Episode and Want To See More!

Wow. Episode 2 is awesome. I'm enjoying the addition of Hawk & Dove to the team, plus that ending is amazing and has me wondering what will happen next. I'm also enjoying the villains at the end of this episode.

Continues to defy expectations!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Another amazing episode..... my regards to the creators. I don't understand the hate this show is getting. I mean grow up.... Not everything is going to be sweet and simple forever. These are not your regular crime fighting Titans. The way they have shown what toll it has taken on The Boy Wonder to fight beside Batman is just AMAZING.

The chemistry between Hawk and Dove is shown beautifully. And I have to admit I was not expecting the love triangle with Grayson and Dawn. All things considered I think Titans have a lot of potential.

Titans lives up to its name
stormryanjohnson19 October 2018
Gritty and grounded. Fight sequences are amazing and a joy to watch, violence is everything you never knew you wanted from a DC show, and the story for hawk and dove is keeps you invested. This is the correct way to make a superhero adaptation

This Show Is Not Teen Titans
pmjsellers24 October 2018
One of the beautiful things about the DC Universe (and Marvel for that matter) to the avid comic book readers is the concept of alternate universes. It gives readers a different perspective of the characters they have grown to know and love. "Titans" is the perfect example of this. The group known as Teen Titans didn't originally start off the way that our generation now knows it. Yet no one blew up when networks like CN degrated the characters to reach a child audience. "Titans" is very dark yet very realistic adaptation of these characters. It answers questions like what would it really be like mentally and emotionally to live in the shadows of Batman? And what would it be like for a kid to carry the burden and powers of a demon? It's geared for an adult audience (news flash most comic book lovers are adults now) in a time when the live action comic book movie/tv show world desperately needs a fresh perspective. I personally love this universe that's being created. It's relatable in a logical way if you stop thinking it's supposed to be Teen Titans. Yes Robin's character is a bit much at times and some of the cursing is miss placed but it's just getting started. I look forward to the writers and director working out the kinks.

Birds of a Feather...
highmarksreviews28 October 2018
I will say, Titans continues to defy my expectations in more than one way, but still has some work to do before it can really break out. With "Hawk and Dove", my hopes are even higher. This episode did an excellent job of showcasing the duo, both in action and out. Their on-going relationship drama and understandable struggle with fighting crime was felt and added a layers to them. Their costumes also deserve a shoutout for being particularly accurate. Robin (Brenton Thwaites) and Rachel (Teagan Croft) continued their journey, though I felt as if that storyline never measured up in terms of pacing. As for Starfire (Anna Diop) and Beastboy (Ryan Potter), there was no sign of either, pushing their team-up even more down the line. A major complaint would be the fighting. Yes, it is bloody and brutal (which is a good thing), but almost every action set-piece is a dimly lit clumsily edited piece of storytelling with very obvious CG blood effects. That needs work. Also, given that this is a mature show, I would expect slightly smarter dialogue. I'm not at all against throwing the f-word out there for realism, but making the script a little more conscious would always help. "Hawk and Dove" shaped up nicely, but its attempt to criss-cross character arc's and failed attempts at gritty action undermine its otherwise stellar portrayal of the titular superhero team.

Not as good as the first episode
frednickjr1621 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Titans decides to go off course by igolnoring 2 of the 4 main cast members(beast boy and starfire) while the fight scenes for hawk and dove were great. Raven finding out about dove and dick was pretty funny. Certain things I just didn't care about such as dicks partner getting killed by the psycho family. Not evening dove dying did anything for me. Overall I very disappointing episode.

Dove and Hawk are great additions and it definitely separates itself from the teen titans with its gritty r rated feel. Love the way the fight scenes are shot especially with Robin. Can't wait to see where this goes.

New characters

What's good about this episode is that even with tons of new characters, it still maintained a good arc of storytelling within the episode. But very little development in the main storyline.

Getting better and better...
asb_deutsch29 October 2018
Welcome to a new breed of superheroes...and the references of Batman now seem appropriate!

First things first...Robin>> Brenton Thwaites did a fine job in playing Dick Grayson. He looked like Grant Gustin in some scenes. I almost forgot him after watching him in Maleficent, GoE and PoC-5. AFter showcasing his skills, this may resurrect his career again!

Teagan Croft. Teagen looks the perfect teenager. Her character was portrayed better. She may consider herself to be lucky to be auditioned for this role.

Last but not the least, "Hawk and Dove" were the pair to watch for as I have seen them only in the animated series. Minka's hair was dyed white to resemble Dove but it seemed that she was looking like Khaleesi. No need for that!

My Score: 7.5/10 SEASON 1: 14/20

Bs Raven doesn't use her powers!!
Fargomoviecritic4 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So Raven kills a bad guys and sucks the life out of him but she doesn't kill the family that destroys Robin, Dove and Hawk?? What a crock!! Dumb that she was kidnapped without using her powers!! And that family was able to take and beat Robin and the gang?? What a terrible storyline and this show was doing so well with the violence and blood! Make your characters consistent and their strength accurate from what they did prior in their scenes. Even if those dumb kids and the parents shot up with super soldier serum Hawk, Dove and Robin should have been able to take that family on. Raven should have been triggered by Robin, Hawks and Dove getting their butts kicked. I hope this isn't a common thing because I will stop watching this.

Correction on a supposed blooper
rndhyd8 August 2021
First of all, bloopers do not go in reviews. There is a "goofs" section for that.

Regarding a correction on Roman numerals -- not IIII, but IV, good call. However, there is NO Federal Reserve of Chicago. I think the closest is in St. Louis. Although, I would do research on a "fictional" building before posting.

Hawk, Dove and Robin
jamesfstarr-8266430 January 2022
I really loved the Foo Fighters cover of "Kids In America" during the fight scene with Hawk, Dove and Robin, but I kept thinking, shouldn't they have used "Three Little Birds" for this scene? 😂

Bloopers found
workblakelonsdale15 June 2019
In the scene where the front of the Federal Reserve of Chicago is displayed, the Roman numerals displaying the year that the Federal Reserve of Chicago was founded are written incorrectly.

Where it says MCMXIIII, it should say MCMXIV

If you have to edit an already existing building to where you remove it's upper floors, and add the date it was constructed using Roman Numerals, then for the love of God get the Roman numerals right before you completely destroy the immersion of the viewer. I seriously doubt that the Federal Reserve of Chicago would've existed for over 100 years with the date written incorrectly on the front of the building...

I'll update if I find anymore bloopers...

Sex scenes and constant vulgar language. I'd give it 7 stars if I watched it by myself but only 1 if I wanted to watch with my son.

The Young Watchmen-Titans You Didn't Know You Needed
PurpleCrayon201419 October 2018
Episode 2 brings us new subplots while ignoring most subplots from the previous episode. The theme of tonight's episode is Deception, as in you will be deceived into thinking Titans will become a DC Universe juggernaut-No, it will not. So far, with only a few edits, Titans plays at the speed and caliber of other CW Hero\Villain shows.
