Quotes

  • Hawk : You're late, Boy Wonder.

Dove : You know he always likes to make a dramatic entrance.

    Robin : True.

Hawk : I thought your boss said to stay away from us.

    Robin : I didn't tell him.

Hawk : So, what is this? A night out with the bad kids?

    Robin : Something like that.

  • Dick Grayson : Can we talk?

Dawn Granger : You're about four years too late, but sure.

  • Dawn Granger : I put Rachel in the spare room and Dick on the couch.

Hank Hall : It's goddamn summer camp. What's he doing here, anyway? Hell of a coincidence, him showing up night before a job.

Dawn Granger : Coincidences happen. What, you think I called him?

    Hank Hall : Did you?

Dawn Granger : I'm with you, Hank. Have been, will be. I'm gonna chalk it up to stress that you don't know that. But now that he's here, we can use his help.

Hank Hall : We don't need him. We've been fine.

Dawn Granger : We have been. But "fine" might not be enough to shut this gun op down. The three of us are unstoppable. We could go out on the win you want. And then you can heal, get better. We can get better.

Hank Hall : He won't help us. He only watches out for himself. People don't change, babe.

    Dawn Granger : We'll see.

  • Dawn Granger : The supplier's name is Bronson. He's moving small hand guns. He's trying to corner the pre-teen market. Intel says they're making a new shipment tomorrow night on the docks, and we think we can break the chain.

    [Dick loads his laptop]

Dawn Granger : The famous Bird Computer. Wayne Enterprises tech? What happened between you two, you and Bruce?

Rachel Roth : [in another room, watching "Game of Thrones"]  Dragons? This show just got so much better.

  • Dawn Granger : She killed someone? She's just a kid.

Dick Grayson : Whoever they are, they've got people in the department. We needed somewhere safe to regroup, think about what I'm gonna do.

Dawn Granger : What about Bruce?

Dick Grayson : He's no good with kids.

  • Dawn Granger : It's a big responsibility.

    Dick Grayson : What?

Dawn Granger : Taking her in. I mean, I know how healing it must be, doing what Bruce did for you when you lost your parents. But taking care of a kid is complicated, you know that better than anyone.

Dick Grayson : I'm not taking her in. I'm not good at the staying with people part. I don't have to tell you that. Look, I know things are tight around here, so I thought Alfred could give me some money, maybe help out a bit, help out Rachel at the same time. Two birds with one stone. Well, three, I guess.

Dawn Granger : Wait, you want to leave her here?

Dick Grayson : Just for a while, just until...

    Dawn Granger : Until when?

Dick Grayson : You don't understand, Dawn. I'm no good at family. I can't... you don't know what I've become.

Dawn Granger : What are you talking about?

Dick Grayson : [his computer beeps]  Dawn, do not hit this delivery. Look at the number of security contractors.

Dawn Granger : Hey, don't change the subject. What do you mean "what you've become"?

  • Hank Hall : What the hell are you doing here, Dick?

    Dawn Granger : Hank.

    Dick Grayson : I had a situation.

Hank Hall : Nice little reunion you got going here.

Dick Grayson : You know it's not like that.

Hank Hall : Sure looks like it to me.

    Dawn Granger : Hank.

Hank Hall : [from her gesture, he turns and sees Rachel]  What the fuck?

  • Hank Hall : We have a solid plan. We shut this operation down for good, we're talking walk-away money.

Dawn Granger : And we will, right?

Hank Hall : As promised. We go to Wisconsin, I get my new hip. You can nurse me back to health.

Dawn Granger : [chuckling]  A girl wears an outfit one time.

  • Dawn Granger : Cop, huh? That's one I never would've figured.

Dick Grayson : How are you?

Dawn Granger : We're great. Hank's feeling the life a little. Age waits for no man and all that.

    Dick Grayson : How bad?

Dawn Granger : Two fractures, three concussions in the last year, and a herniated disc.

    Dick Grayson : Jesus, Dawn.

Dawn Granger : We're still good out there, Dick. Really good. Not one slip-up.

Dick Grayson : You should quit. You both should.

Dawn Granger : That's the plan. Soon as we take out these gun suppliers he's obsessed with. One more chance to do some good and he promised he's out. You could help us out.

Dick Grayson : I'm out of the life, Dawn.

  • Dawn Granger : [finding a bow-tied box]  What's this?

Hank Hall : You think I was gonna let today go by without comment?

Dawn Granger : Because today is...

Hank Hall : Three and a half years. I tied it myself.

Dawn Granger : You're very talented.

Hank Hall : Thank you. You can open it if you want.

[doing so, she finds a key inside]

    Hank Hall : Happy anniversary.

[cut to their building roof where a large bird enclosure sits]

Hank Hall : It was either this or a toothpaste squeezer I found online.

Dawn Granger : So this is what you were doing up here. I thought you were drinking.

Hank Hall : I was building this and drinking.

  • Dove : You didn't wait for me.

Hawk : Yeah, you would've said, "Not tonight."

Dove : I should leave you hanging like this.

Hawk : Whatever turns you on.

  • Dick Grayson : What'd you do with Rachel? You know, the sullen one?

Dawn Granger : I didn't do anything with her. I just didn't treat her like a kid. She's a good girl.

  • Dawn Granger : That part of the anti-inflammatory diet, too?

Hank Hall : Call it a victory toast. Come on, it's one beer. After what we just pulled off...

Dawn Granger : Relax. I want a swig, that's all.

  • Dawn Granger : We gotta go. Hank and I have that thing.

Dick Grayson : Dawn, I really think you should reconsider. Okay? We both know it's too dangerous.

Dawn Granger : You win some, you lose some.

    [leaning down to Rachel]

Dawn Granger : Take care of him, okay? He needs all the help he can get.

    Rachel Roth : Okay.

    [Dawn leaves]

Rachel Roth : She needs your help. I can feel it. Isn't that what you do?

    Dick Grayson : What?

Rachel Roth : You help people.

Dick Grayson : I used to think so. I used to think it was one of the things that I was best at. Until I realized the more help some needed, the worse I had to hurt the others. Do you understand?

Rachel Roth : Sometimes, when I feel the darkness come out... it feels good.

    Dick Grayson : I understand.

Rachel Roth : You want to help them. You're just scared. Sometimes, there's just no time to be scared.

  • Hank Hall : Well, isn't this cozy?

Dawn Granger : [taking her hand off Dick's arm]  Hey.

Hank Hall : Just like the old days.

Dick Grayson : We were just talking things through, okay?

Hank Hall : Come and go, take what you want.

    Dawn Granger : Hank.

Hank Hall : Don't touch me.

[getting to his feet, Dick tries to hold him back]

    Rachel Roth : Stop.

Hank Hall : You want to touch my girl now?

Rachel Roth : [Dick pushes him up against a wall]  Stop!

[the darkness inside of her bursts out]

    Rachel Roth : STOP!

    [calming down, she leaves]

    Rachel Roth : I'm sorry.

    Hank Hall : Jesus.

  • Dawn Granger : [after Dick helps her and Hank stop a gun shipment]  You weren't kidding about having changed. I've never seen you like that before.

  • Dick Grayson : What's wrong?

Rachel Roth : [taking out the envelope he planned to give Dawn and Hank]  You were gonna leave me here. You said you weren't, but you lied. You must lie a lot. You're good at it.

Hank Hall : What's she talking about?

Dick Grayson : [Rachel gives him the envelope]  Hank, don't read that. I...

Hank Hall : It's got my name on it.

    [taking the contents out]

Hank Hall : What the fuck? You were gonna leave her here? You were gonna pay us?

Dick Grayson : It's not that simple.

Hank Hall : "I know you guys can watch out for her." Seems pretty simple to me. You were gonna buy us?

Dawn Granger : Hank, slow down. He's just trying to help.

Hank Hall : Wait, did you know about this? You saw what he did.

    Dawn Granger : That's enough.

    Hank Hall : He's a fucking psychopath.

Dick Grayson : [as they continue to argue, he goes over to Rachel]  Hey, Rachel, I was gonna come back for you.

Rachel Roth : [touching his hand and getting a telekinetic feeling]  Liar. You were never coming back for me.

Nuclear Mom : [appearing with the rest of her family]  Well, hello there, you four.

Hank Hall : Who the fuck are these guys?

  • Hawk : [taking out the guards protecting a gun shipment]  Dick was wrong. Only a few of 'em.

[taking a case out of a truck]

Hawk : Oh, yeah. Wisconsin, here we come.

Dove : [taking cover as he gets shot]  Hank!

Hawk : [seeing they're surrounded]  Shit.

Torturer : [revealing himself]  Where were we? Oh, yes.

[taking out a pair of pruning shears]

Torturer : I believe your pants were coming down. This will be the worst and last pain you ever experience.

  • Dawn Granger : Hey.

    Hank Hall : I'm sorry.

Dawn Granger : Don't be sorry.

Hank Hall : It's just the stress.
