Harry Ambrose is a lover of nature and sad about what the world is doing to its creatures. He is also insightful and intense. He is also weak in the social interaction department. He is soft spoken and hesitant at times, but doesn't have problem with ultimately saying what's on his mind. He confronts Cora. He has no reason to get so involved other than the belief that there is much more to her story. The problem is that she makes things up. Her upbringing, I believe, makes it impossible to forgive herself for her impulsive act. But we are finding out more about the guy whom she killed (but that doesn't wash for now). Harry is also going through rough times with his wife. He is distant and uninvolved in the marriage. At least he doesn't like the inconvenience of living away from her. He is rooming with a friend and acting quite weird. All I have to say is that we have a tidy Mystery which is a Why rather than a Who dunnit.
