After all the drama, angst and bloodshed of the latter episodes of S4, it was nice to see Red enjoying himself. Once, stealing a car to sell would have been so far beneath him it would be unthinkable, but here he was smiling from ear to ear.

He may have lost his money, but not his charm, as evidenced by his warm welcome from his fellow motel dwellers.

His dealings with Smokey Putnam and Heddie Hawkins show he's always looking at the long-term/big picture.

Overall, very enjoyable.

Here we go again. Red is on his way to rebuild his empire. As unflappable as ever, he and daughter Liz end up making deal with bail bondsman to act as a bounty hunter. It's much more complicated because a couple new characters are brought into the fold. Everything works perfectly, even though Elizabeth can't figure it out. It seems tongue in cheek until we get to the end. We have some major issues. Dembe has been unable to find the suitcase containing the bones of someone. Don has been saved by a sleazy guy so he won't be charged with murder. The guy is a blackmailer and is going to expect favors. And, finally, Tom is back. He's got the suitcase and we get a flashback involving him and Red. Wow!

This episode begins in New York, Red steals a Red car he got chased by a police car he got awat and let's the two police crash crash into each other. Red is on a well deserved holiday. Cooper revealed to the task force that Red is Liz her father. Red has a new case for Liz, Smokey Putnum is the new name on The Blacklist. Ressler and Samar investigate Laurel Hitchin her death. Red and Liz found Smokey and took him with them. Red and Liz get into a gun fight with a criminal crew, Liz and Red won the fight. Smokey has been ubducted by the skinheads. Red and Liz found Putnum at a man called Lemarc, Red paid Lemarc money to free Smokey. On the moment Putnum wanted to turn himself in he tried to escape, Liz arrested Smokey and gave him to the police. Red let's free the headwitness to let Smokey free. Tom is back, Liz is happy with it. We see a flash forward of Red killing Tom. Really great Season 5 premiere of The Blacklist, there was a lot of action this episode with some dark and brutal consequences.
