Please note I give this a 10 out of 10 with reference to Top Gear and not all TV series. Also because they deserve the pick up as I feel the patriots have been too harsh with their previous ratings.

Brilliant job on this one guys. I feel you're finding your feet and working as a team now that Chris Evans is gone (I feel this should be forgotten from Top Gear history). There seems to be less evidence of script reading and worry of living up to the previous trio and more of the presenters own characters coming through which make the viewer less focused on the cringe moments and more emotionally invested in the episode. Although there's still the odd try hard moments.

The trip to Cuba was a really well presented segment giving not just visual stimulation from all of the wonderful cars and buildings, but also a connection with the locals which makes you feel like its less of a scripted car show from a 'disengaged from the common folk' side of life and instead you feel more connected with the humanity of the presenters.

This is what the other trio were brilliant at and I believe was the secret ingredient to the original top gear (their unmasked human faults and quirks that one can relate to). More of this please. Argue and bicker if your annoyed at each other and vice versa. Just say what you want to say without worrying about following the script. You're human after all. Another method for this is more engagement with the production crew on camera, that would be a welcome addition.

Matts heavy machinery segment, although still a bit dry and try hard, is a nice addition which gives a 'pure manly' ingredient, that someone that envisages themselves as 'manly' needs. Keep these coming and let them have fun without thinking to much about the script, or what you think the viewer would like. Imagine what the viewer would like to see as a whole segment with a rough structure, but don't structure every sentence, be yourself.

The GTR segment was also good, showing good energy and presenting the personality of the car well.

All in all, more personality, less thought (a good thing), and visual- audible treats resulted in a very good episode where I felt fully engaged and couldn't take my eyes off the screen, compared to the previous episodes and season where I couldn't keep my eyes open. One of the best top gear episodes ever. Good job and more like this please.
