One of the better jack the ripper documentaries.

This is actually one of the better documentaries. I liked the historical context at the start, the music isn't overbearing and the re-enacted bits are competently done. Half of the documentaries out there are made by one investigator who just want to sell their book, they always seem determined to make the facts fit their suspect. Nobody else features in those documentary unless they're in that person's team and ready to go along with whatever they say. In this one it retells all the established facts faithfully, it has contributions from a range of experts and historians, at the very end it lets us know who it thinks is most likely to be the killer but it does it gently and doesn't force you to agree. Some of the other stuff out there is so sensationalist. "We have unmasked Jack the ripper" "We have all the proof we need.".... The documentary doesn't really uncover anything new or ground breaking but that's probably because what we have is all that's left now to be investigated.
