The Cancer of Philippine cinema

Ever wondered why there are no more action films? Why are talented directors nowhere to be found? Why are indie producers stuck where they are? The answer is... Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto and repetitive directors. Seriously, the film Super Parental Guardians is full of cliché moments, unoriginal ideas, repetitive scripts taken from previous movies and just plain unprofessional.

I am so embarrassed to the indie directors why they aren't recognised more. Their entries are way more original, way more interesting and way better cinematography. For the amount of money Star Cinema earns every year (hundreds of millions) you'd expect them to at least make a better quality film every year.

Lets talk about the humour. I will be honest; I did find some funny but a lot of probably the corniest jokes I have ever heard. Then there is the repetitive/predictable conflict between two gay characters Vice Ganda and Awra. Of course, Coco Martin tries his best but every time he tries it made me wanna get the hell out of the cinema.

Conclusion:

This is an awful film 3/10 the best I could give this. Its not for kids (gay jokes, shower scene, Vice Ganda's feminine outfits, gay flirting) even though they say this is a "kid's film". This film earned more than 300M pesos and so did the previous film Vice Ganda made last year. Can you not spend I dunno 30M-50M to make a much more decent film?

Total waste of time. There's hardly even any saving grace.
