Newbie Asia fitting in nicely
lor_18 November 2016
It's difficult to imagine HBO's hit "Sex in the City" with a new character (and actress) taking over one of the four main heroine roles, but Adam & Eve's classic Adult series in the same genre did just that, substituting Asia Carrera smoothly in Lauren Montgomery's slot.

This Montgomery-free episode demonstrates that drastic switch didn't hurt the charm of the XXX soap opera, as all four leads are operating on all cylinders.

"Women on Top" signals via radio host Nina Hartley's patter that the fairer sex had better look out for number one, not only in work but in relationships. She makes sure that old flame Evan Stone won't take advantage of her good nature this time around, and beds him in the opening vignette.

Main story-line involves a visiting movie star Justin Brent (Randy Spears pouring on the smugness), with the gals clearly in hero worship mode. Effective switch by series writer-director Toni English is that Brent is accustomed to his underlings procuring high-priced call girls for his entertainment when he is on tour, and in this case Chad (Steven St. Croix) has asked our ladies to participate as models in a photo shoot with Brent, little suspecting that they are being summoned to service him in addition to posing.

This makes for some lively banter as the cast converses on the wrong wavelengths, and there's plenty of humping before things get sorted out in conventional sit-com fashion. Added wrinkle is that Chad has instructed the girls to dress trashily for the shoot and that supports Brent's assumption that they are hookers.

It's solid entertainment for fans of the series, with guest stars Kelsey Heart (she of the incomparable stubby nipples) and Shelbee Myne (playing a chauffeur who delivers hot lesbian sex to Dee) adding to the erotic quotient. Fourteen more episodes to go, and I'm rationing the quality rather than going on a binge.
