Let Me In: Not to be confused with Let Me In (2010)
Platypuschow12 April 2023
Plot

A romantic date night is interrupted by screams for help, when a women frantically finds her way to the doorstep of complete two strangers.

Cast

Hard shrug I'm afraid

Verdict

It's so hard to review short films without entering the realms of spoiler territory, especially when the film is only 3 minutes long.

So Let Me In, not to be confused with the absolute embarrassment that was the US remake of Let the Right One in (2008) by the same name is a as mentioned 3 minute horror. It was directed by someone with almost no experience and written by someone whose career highlights include Planet of the Sharks from 2016, the abysmal Awaken the Shadowman (2017) and Zombie Tidal Wave (2019) which I just can't wait to get round to for all the wrong reasons.

It in the highly limited time it has available sees a woman fleeing from an attacker one night, she bangs on the door of the nearest house seeking aid and it looks like she's found it until dun dun dun the big twist which isn't so big but well enough handled.

Passably enough made, fairly novel and though more of a skit than a film there are worse ways of spending 3 minutes.

Breakdown + Well enough made
  • The writer is still terrible.

3m short

Warning: Spoilers
Did people even watch this? It is only a 3m short and isn't very good. It is on youtube. The acting is blah and not very believable, so how can this be rated so high?

Spoiler. Some chick runs to a house screaming about some guy "out there", I guess trying to get her. Their is a guy and girl that live there. The guy tells her to chill and he goes and opens the door, then, boom (lame jump scare, that isn't scary) and after a few seconds his buddy pops up at the door. The chick that was running says "it's him" (the guy that just came over). I guess this is the guy she claims was chasing her. She looks in a large mirror on the wall and only sees her own reflection. She turns back to the two guys and one girl and they all show their fangs and say something like thanks for coming to dinner. The end.
