Everything great about classic Top Gear returns in this Grand Tour episode. Honestly have only watched this show due to my loyalty to the trio of Clarkson, Hammond, and May, but haven't thoroughly enjoyed an episode of The Grand Tour until now. Cars, banter, sabotage and destruction. Absolutely magnificent entertainment.

Shenanigans Return Proper!
mind-wax1 March 2019
The spirit of the original top gear has finally returned in full via the metamorphosis of Clarkson, Hammond, and May's into their new film vehicle. All the fun and spirit are complete. Although their Colombian tour was damn close...this RV episode hits the mark spot on. Excellent hit with the pub on wheels May! And baja style buggies..well that's just a riot!
Best episode so far.

Entertaining despite itself
polsixe23 March 2019
Some of the old bits but put together well and more subtle sight gags than usual, some lol funny. Very meta as they poke fun at Hammond's St. Tropez gassed burglary incident, which at the time was reported as straight news. Also, educational to hear Clarkson pronounce it "dee-feh-cate-ing",

Warning: Spoilers
The only thing interesting about this episode is how they manage to film it without too much in the background to give away that they're basically in and around vegas. And that they skipped vegas thru most of it. Filming locations, nelson nv -- why they started there is bizarre. It's an old timey tourist trap south of vegas. Boulder city, nv next to lake mead (not shown) with the highest real estate per capita than vegas, lake las vegas, their campsite is on the other side of this upscale housing development next to lake mead. Don't bother to look for red lake. All the rv driving nonsense was done in this area except the camera is facing east all the time towards the lake so you don't see any of the housing development, or much of the lake, either one. Pahrump, -- real sports track except it's also a school for cadillac and corvette so no surprise they chose those cars. And curious, nothing about the motor speedway or the exotic car track next to it.
Everything planned...
minunimion17 October 2020
Nothing spontaneous, just planned. Boring and not even new... it already happened in Top Gear. Over and over no new and nor good idea. They laugh at each other, but the audience should laugh, not them, but... no. Their idiotic stupid pranks cannot make anyone laugh, but other morons like them. It's time to stop this massacre, or we have to watch them until they will race on their elderly rollator walker?
This episode is like a Dejavu

Overscripted and badly acted.
ismo-mattila31 March 2019
Such a shame that these three feel the need to act everything. They are trying so hard to commercialize the comradery between these three that they result in faking absolutely everything.
I'm still a fan but this creation is not even close to believable. Every joke every situation is totally planned out and it shows badly.
Buffonish nonsense for morons
damon_jacobs4 March 2019
There is not a single part of this moronic nonsense that should regarded as a car show. It's just three characters we know too well playing out stupid scenarios we can guess a mile away. There's no cleverness or spontaneity, just obviously over-scripted crap. Everywhere. A few hard-core idiots may like this. Fine, Amazon can take their money, but not mine. Of course they're famous for making a car show that wasn't really about cars, but in reality the passion was about cars and that's obviously missing now. They're just playing roles for the money now and the cars are just props instead of the stars. Contrast this last lame effort with camper vans vs their first American journey, the cars and their environment were the focus not the presenters, now it's all about them. Unsubscribe.
One of the worst
kjsmi9 March 2019
The whole acting thing is obvious. It ruins everything that they used to do on the specials. Whilst we all knew it was scripted it was entertaining.
This however wasn't, the whole thing with Jeremy seeing the American was ridiculous. Took away from the entire episode. It reminded me of the shambles of the 1st series with the Queen.
These guys are not actors.
