The plot points of the novel are generally kept, and the actors playing Ann Kathrin, Frank Weller and Rupert are brilliant: the characters are just like I've imagined them.
The only thing that bothered me was that the killer looked suspicious from the start. In the book, they seem strange but overall harmless at first, here, they look like the psycho they really are. I have read the book before I watched the movie, but for people unfamiliar with the plot, it might be a major spoiler.
