The New York Is WAY Past It's Prime
arfdawg-12 April 2016
Filmmaker Alex Gibney (Going Clear) tells how the FBI could have prevented the 9/11 attacks - if it weren't for the CIA.

Le Cafe de Balzac: Paul Giamatti plays 19th-century French author Honore de Balzac, who drank 50 cups of coffee each day.

Unreality Star: Patients with "The Truman Show delusion" believe their lives are being watched on TV. Cartoon by Roz Chast.

OMG what pretentious garbage. The FAILING magazine, the New Yorker now tries to create a sort of news magazine with Amazon.

they failed. It's boring, pretentious, and just plain garbage,

For the entire first episide -- and I will not be going back for a second-- the filmmakers show how self consciously full of themselves they are. From the NY'er fact checkers who all look the same and couldn't be more white ivy league making minimum wage to the boring body shot interviews filmed in the most idiotic angles.

stay away. This is worst than Transparency.
