Not as good as ep 1

Episode 2 is a bit slower than the first. The shock factor has worn off and there's not a lot of time spent developing the main storyline. Still, good acting and the last few minutes are attention grabbing.

Everyone on Edge

When this many people are aware of a terrible event, it's going to be hard to keep them on the same page. Because the victim (who is now buried) was seen at an convenience store, the police are in the area. Reporters are also there for an entirely different reason. The families begin to fight among themselves, launching accusations. Some of it is utterly unfair. This will be fun because there are so many suspects. I imagine, like any good mystery story, the plot will produce even more. There are also some subplots, including a drug sale to get money to pay for an operation and an elderly lady who wants one of the family members to do a mercy killing.

Beneath the Surface

Episode 2 slows the pace down somewhat as the characters react to the aftermath of the dead man in the cattle shed.

This episode concentrates on the detectives investigating the killings in Edinburgh but they also catch CCTV footage of the main suspect at a petrol station not many miles from the farm.

The families decide how to get rid of the dead body and the car he drove in.

The press have also been at the farm taking pictures of all the families together, the night after the storm which causes consternation among them.

The farm manager is coaxed by his wife to make capital out of the tragedy but turns out to be more like a cack handed attempt at extortion.

Despite the second episode drifting somewhat it is still intriguing as the various characters seem to have a hidden dark secret .
