Excellent Acting & Pacing
twelve-house-books13 February 2018
This is an indie release, and with many of them--especially ones about human trafficking--the acting is fair to middling. This one features excellent actors and a director who knows how to pace a story. The criminals are given colorful personalities, which make them more realistic.

No violence. No foul language. No nudity. No sexual intercourse. Yes, a suggestion of adultery. Yes, suggestive pedophilic prostitution.

Warning: Spoilers
A 12 year old girl goes missing...well we see her in the beginning and pretty much know where she is. Rachel Willow (Jennica Schwartzman) and partner are investigating the case...yes question the mother, the neighbor, the mother's boss, the mother again, the boss again, a race car driver, the neighbor's daughter, the teacher, and the teacher again....OMG! Get on with it!

Yes, the whole film is all about the investigation, an affair, and deceased father. Slow moving crime drama that might make for a Lifetime film.

No swearing, sex, or nudity that I recall.

Attention

Underrated, and under advertised. Great movie that focuses on the everyday real life events we refuse to acknowledge, or think of. Even the interactions and behaviors we have as individuals/with others at home, at work, personally, privately, professionally, emotionally, and collectively, have been uniquely written and portrayed by the cast perfectly. Bring this movie into a better spotlight, and give it the attention it deserves.

A superbly written an acted film about a very difficult subject
oojlhoo13 February 2023
The movie was hard for me to watch. But it was so well written and so brilliantly acted. I was touched and angered. However, I give a standing ovation to the writers, actors and supporters behind the movie scenes. I also applaud the guts to present and shed light on this subject that people tend to not want to even acknowledge happens, which only allows it to continue. Jennica Schwartzmanshines in this gripping thriller about a 12 year old girl who goes missing in a rural Arkansas town. She plays detective who really wants to quit the force until this case changes everything. Every one of the actors shine.
