I was shocked as I watched "Finding Santa". After all, the films at the Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival are all lower-budgeted indie movies and so you expect to see the films cut corners. Yet, despite only a few credits to his name, Dean Ginsburg has created a short film in which the leading character appears to be traveling all over the world--including a vast desert, Paris, China, Sydney and many other locations about the globe! How did he do this?!
The story is very simple, though well executed. It seems that Santa's disappeared and one of his loyal elves if getting messages that appear to be from Santa...asking for help! So, you see the guy roaming about the world looking for the culprit who kidnapped Saint Nick...and he hopes to rescue his boss as well!
