Matilda is still the one pulling the strings, and manipulating the living from Beyond the Grave. Jack ends up in serious trouble for attacking Joanna.
It's a cracking second episode, it's twisted, brutal and intensely dark. I find it so faithful for the book. It starts with a shocking, grim scene, and continues in the same form.
For 1998 this was way ahead of its time.
There are multiple terrific performances, Miranda Richardson, Bob Peck, Douglas Hodge etc, I just can't help be captivated by Trudie Styler, she's malevolent, charismatic and insanity elegant, perhaps the one I paid most attention to.
I've totally enjoyed this.
