best episode Heist Society
msaathoff23 November 2015
This show gets better and better each time ! I grew up with the old puppet show And I'am still an big fan But this episode was the closest to the old serial the original storyline, the action, the old suspense lady P in action as never before ! the teasing between the brothers The best Penelope Parker vs the Hood ! I watched this episode four times because it so reminded me of the Pennelope and Parker I grew up with just as in the old day's you become part of the family Aldo I'saw the Thunderbirds 50 years ago even now I can still loose myself in it !

Until now EOS was mine favorite . this one Yes this one even surpassed it in mine eyes best episode yet must see THUNDERBIRDS Definitely GO AGAIN !

Nice, tightly told story with familiar elements in a new setting.

Several nods to old favorites are scattered through this pressurized peril as the team copes with transporting a dangerous material and important personnel. Peter Briggs spins a solid yarn that highlights character without sacrificing the action that is essential to a Thunderbirds adventure. I enjoyed the nimble thinking and ongoing mods to the tools of the trade that keep International Rescue ahead of dastardly and disaster and appreciated the callbacks to original series moments. I hope, as the series progresses, more multi-part episodes can be made to let us linger in the midst of this entertaining world. The episodes go so quickly it takes two viewings to really get the most from the action. Looking forward to more.

Outstanding episode, great project

The original program was a big part of my childhood and I am thrilled at the way it has been brought into the next generation. I hope it inspires young people today as it did 50 me and my friends 50 years ago. The characters are brilliantly realized and the action is thrilling. THUNDERBIRDS was always a marvelous mix of gadgetry and people, and the new THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO has just the right balance. It's hard to impress the post-Star Wars generation with rockets and spaceships, but it's happening here. Best of all we old geezers get to explain all the little in-jokes and references that show how much the writers and producers love the originals. It does NOT get any better than this, and surely the producers are smart enough to get Mr. Briggs back for some more stories!

high adventure
michaelstribling23 November 2015
The episode was fantastic! It had everything you love about the original Thunderbirds, and more. The adventure. The teamwork. The vehicles. The only thing that was missing were the strings! I especially enjoy seeing Lady Penelope portrayed in such a strong, capable manner. She is still the same character you originally loved...but evolved into a heroine for the 21st century. Here's a character young girls can identify with. Plus, parents can feel good because she's not just a pink princess, waiting on someone to meander along and save the day. If you have any young children in your home, this show really hits all the right marks for fun and aspirational entertainment.

Gripping and entertaining story
tristanfear25 November 2015
This story oozes Thunderbirds. It's exciting stuff that uses the potential of the show's format and every character trait to its fullest. It presents the best of the show beautifully. The main villain of the series is absolutely enticing in this story. Peter Briggs' writing coupled with Andres Williams' performance as The Hood really made the villainous nature apparent in an old-hat yet not dated style. He had an indomitable streak in this story, with trick after trick hidden under his sleeve. The same can be said for Lady Penelope, whose heroic yet classy demeanour is sold to us perfectly. She's calm and reserved and equally brave and geared for action in response to the plights the story throw at her and her sidekick Parker.

The best thing about Heist Society is that my favourite characters were written superbly within a brilliant adventure story that had me at the edge of my seat. I would definitely recommend it. I've seen it enough times to know it's quality television.

Best-written episode
brianofozark26 November 2015
Wow, what an episode! Who wrote this one? The should hire that guy (or gal) again. A lot more was packed into the episode, and it was more intelligent overall than the typical episode for an animated show. Bravo. I found Penelope's performance particularly compelling. Intelligent and resourceful. It presents a good example for my daughter to grow up watching. Strong, intelligent female characters are sometimes difficult to come by, but this one is perfect. I was also impressed by the realistic science on display. I admit I'm not familiar with this program, but after seeing this excellently-written episode, I intend to see more of it. The Thunderbirds are definitely a go!
