Producer/cinematographer Reuben Trane talks in interesting detail about the making of the Nazi zombie horror cult favorite "Shock Waves." Trane reveals that he started making films in 16mm and studied at Columbia University. Trane points out that everyone on the movie was paid minimum union wages with the notable exceptions of token names John Carradine and Peter Cushing, who both worked five days each on the picture. Trane also talks about how multiple locations were used for the abandoned hotel, the difficulties of shooting scenes underwater, Carradine falling asleep in between takes, and one of the zombies was played by a reporter named Jay Meader who wrote an article about acting in the movie for a local Florida newspaper. Worth a watch for fans of the film.
