true to its subject

I found Corbo to be a compelling and well made film that held true to its subject matter. It did not pull any punches about the cost of radicalism. Acting. Lighting and setting were superb. I especially liked the lack of any smarmy or patronizing political messaging. The film and script respect the viewer enough to let them form their own values. The FLQ crisis was one of the vexing domestic political eras in Canada's and Quebec's history. I felt the film did it justice. It aligns well with historical non-fiction accounts of the events of the period. The soundtrack is very well considered as well.
