I do fancy Tim Curry

Warning: Spoilers
Taking place in the home of a couple who have recently had a baby boy, Sexlife is a very real glimpse at the tumultuous period that every couple must go through as they add the title of 'parent' to husband and wife. As the title suggests, the biggest hurdle is an attempt to reignite the spark to their sex life, long neglected. What ensues is a heartfelt conversation between two people that love each other with moments of true hilarity as they are interrupted by the baby in the other room.

Excellent performances by both actors and one of the best renditions of "Sweet Transvestite" I've ever seen outside of a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture show.

A humorous and heartfelt exploration of a couple's growing pains after they have their first baby.

What a unique, funny, and heartfelt take on a very tough subject. This film is honest and charming, with just the right amount of British wit and self-deprecation. So many moments in this film ring true throughout-- the times you have said "what on Earth were you thinking?" to a partner of the opposite sex, the moments when life becomes so massive you just want to disconnect and be alone (but how can you when you're in a marriage?), and all the little things that draw us back to the ones we love.

This film body stares down the growing pains of major life changes with courage, heart, and humor. It never shies away from its own dark side or asks us to swallow a sentimental version of reality. The acting is genuine, and the direction is intimate and pure of heart. The writing makes an even case for both sides of a relationship that is complex and full of gray areas. I walked away both moved and entertained. I truly loved every second.

Also, this film loves Tim Curry as much as I do. And that's a lot of love.

Refreshingly funny and poignant

Sex Life - A really interesting and grounded drama comedy looking at post pregnancy and the effect on the couples sex life after.

The comedy elements balances the more serious and often not talked about areas of post pregnancy to bring you an engaging mix of laughs and empathy in a fresh way. From the initial surprise and setup the film manages to create a wealth of different moods and a feeling of being part of a long running issue between the characters whilst remaining self contained.

Witty and well paced dialogue with great performances to match, the film displays a very relate-able sensitivity and understanding of the characters and the issue and brings the audience to laugh and sympathize with the characters rather than laughing at them.

In essence, a story about parenthood. Simple, touching, proposing many questions, giving fair dose of humor and irony and absurde and emotion. In fact, fine exploration of the manner to see the other. A delicate subject, inspired use of it.
