The best season finale on Disney Channel since Phineas and Ferb's "Out to Launch."

Warning: Spoilers
**MINOR SPOILERS***

She was the star of the popular musical sitcom "Sing It Loud!" as well as the movie "The Skateboard Bandit." She was the girl who caused a commotion at a skateboard exhibit when she tried to smash the homemade skateboard belonging to teen skating extraordinaire and ex-boyfriend Miller White. She got into a battle with a younger wannabe child star at a local Christmas Pageant. Now, Liv Rooney is about to star in the sci-fi fantasy blockbuster action movie "Space Werewolves." However, there are still some skeptics who doubt that a teeny-bopper could play a role intended for a male action hero. When a reporter addresses those doubts, he thinks that one of her replies to his question is a suggestion that she's going to perform her own stunts, and suddenly she decides that she will. It's at this point that she realizes she's in over her head with this movie. The movie's new director, three-time Oscar winner Vic DeFazerelli is a familiar face to all us old folks. When Joey and Parker are let on the set during a discussion of one of the scenes of the movie, they step in and tell him right to his face that it's too tame, and urge him to up the ante. Now Liv realizes she's in even more trouble than she thought. At home Liv and Joey are arguing over her brother's recommendations, when suddenly Maddie is brought through the front door in Diggie's arms... but it's not for a happy occasion at all. Maddie tore her knee at a basketball game on a winning play, putting her on the disabled list for the rest of the post-season, and ruining her hopes of joining the Women's Junior Olympics basketball team.

After Liv's ordeal at the studio, she seeks advice from Maddie. But her sister, the one girl who can give her the most encouragement can't even encourage herself to recuperate from her basketball injury. I will admit though, that Liv's pep talk dance was fun to watch, nevertheless. As expected, when Liv realizes she has to face her fears on her own and go through with the stunt work, it's fantastic to watch, even without the Michael Bay-style trailer that replaces it.

It should be obvious that Dove Cameron had a stunt woman to perform all those stunts on the set, but does anybody really care? It's not as fantastic as the ski jump/avalanche scene from Tyson's Peak in "Cloud 9," but then again, what is? The biggest surprise is the fact that Garry Marshall played the director. Never mind the fact that he's a director and producer in real life. You'd think that getting a legend like him for a guest starring role would be a huge score for the casting department, but with the usual record of "It's a Laugh Productions" and their splinter companies getting guest stars like Tom Poston, Rip Taylor, William Schallert, and Charo, perhaps it shouldn't be so unexpected. I humbly await Patty Duke's presence at "Oops Doughnuts Productions" for Season Two. Nevertheless, his reaction to Liv's stunt work is hilarious. Anyone who saw the promos for this episode had high expectations for it, but I toned mine down a bit. Even though I didn't expect it to be the greatest TV moment of all time, I didn't expect it to be lousy either, and it wasn't!

welovesamandcat31 July 2014
This is an amazing show. I love this show. Best show on Disney! I hope it gets a movie. Can't wait for season 2. The only thing I have left of old Disney oh and Girl meets World. I get a headache watching I Didn't Do It and Austin & Ally now those two shows have so many people on there who can't act Bring On Season 2 And 3 And 4! I can't wait to see more of this show because it's just that awesome, this finale was amazing. Liv is the sweetest and Maddie is for sure one of the realest characters Disney has ever had.! I love me some willow awesome haha that girl is so funny! This show is so prefect. Disney finally found something good. Btw I think their ratings are funny because they lead the night like why would you have a new show leading?!" Pretty dumb of Disney but I guess.

The funniest episode of the show

Perhaps the only episode where Liv and Maddie reached the Friends's standards of hilarity. Almost no other sitcom on Disney can be funny, let alone hilarious. This just proves Liv and Maddie is a great sitcom.
